All New Missions in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5
There are two new standalone story missions in Update 2.5. The update also introduces You Tell Me, a collection-focused side quest that expands the existing Fool on the Hill Tarot storyline.
| Mission | Unlock Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Clampdown | Complete The Heist and two Wakako gigs. | King's five-piece outfit and Coronation revolver. |
| Welcome to Paradise | Complete The Heist and reach Street Cred 15. | 1,050 Eurodollars. |
| You Tell Me | Scan a new Minor Arcana Tarot Card. | A graphic T-shirt based on your chosen Tarot suit. |
Clampdown is the combat-heavy option, featuring a prison escape and new equipment. Welcome to Paradise is a longer investigation built around Richard Night's guided tour of the city. You Tell Me is for players interested in exploration and collectibles.
You don't need Phantom Liberty to play any of these quests. They're included in the free Update 2.5.
How to Start Clampdown in Cyberpunk 2077 2.5
Clampdown is the new mission connected to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2. It introduces King and his crew in a story set before the events of the anime's second season.
To unlock it, you must finish The Heist and complete any two gigs for Wakako Okada. You do not need to complete every Wakako gig or reach Street Cred 15 specifically for Clampdown.
- Complete The Heist and its immediate story follow-up so you can explore Night City normally.
- Finish at least two gigs assigned by Wakako Okada.
- Wait for Wakako to send a message titled "A Request from King."
- Read the message, reply, and track Clampdown in your Journal.
- Travel to the BuryGer restaurant near the MLK & Brandon fast travel point in Arroyo, Santo Domingo.
- Sit at the designated table and wait for King to contact you.
What Happens in Clampdown?
King needs V to help extract a member of his crew named Miguel from Night City Prison. The job quickly becomes more complicated than a normal rescue.
During the mission, you'll need to escape confinement, locate equipment smuggled into the prison, access its security systems, and fight your way out.
There's also a decision involving the prison's Reaper chips that affects what happens to the inmates. You'll eventually face Darius Bale before escaping the facility.
Clampdown is one of the more substantial additions in Update 2.5, so it's worth preparing a reliable combat build before entering the prison.
Clampdown Mission Rewards
Completing Clampdown allows you to keep King's five-piece clothing set and the Coronation Iconic Tech Revolver.
Coronation is particularly useful for players who prefer precision shooting and Tech Weapons. Its charged shots can penetrate cover, making it different from the Power Revolvers used with Update 2.5's Double Trouble perk.
The equipment is obtained during the prison sequence, so make sure you collect King's smuggled package when the mission directs you to retrieve it.
How to Start Welcome to Paradise in Cyberpunk 2077 2.5
Welcome to Paradise is the second new story mission. Rather than centering on a major combat encounter, it takes V across Night City to investigate a missing person and a mysterious shard.
The mission features a guided tour narrated by a digital recreation of Richard Night, the city's founder.
- Complete The Heist main story mission.
- Reach Street Cred level 15.
- Wait for a message from a character named Aera.
- Read her message and call her.
- Agree to investigate the disappearance of her sister, Haze.
- Follow the objective marker to Kabuki in Watson and search for the missing shard.
The first shard is hidden behind a movable metal sheet near a pipe. The Creek Loop fast travel point is a useful starting location when searching for it.
Welcome to Paradise Mission Objectives
After recovering the shard, you'll begin following Richard Night's tour through several locations around the city.
The route includes Night Corp Tower, Corpo Plaza, Arasaka Memorial, City Hall, Biotechnica Farms, NCART, Coronado Dam, the Med Center, and Kabuki.
At each stop, interact with the marked tour terminal and follow the current objective. Some sections involve connecting to a drone, while others require you to listen to Richard or investigate the surroundings.
One important objective is decrypting the tour shard. If you're stuck at this stage, open your Shards menu, find "NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache" under Encrypted, and select Crack Security.
Later in the mission, you'll investigate what happened to Haze and make a decision about whether to give Aera the recovered shard.
Welcome to Paradise Rewards
Welcome to Paradise rewards 1,050 Eurodollars upon completion. The final shard decision affects your interaction with Aera, but the payment is the same either way.
Unlike Clampdown, this mission isn't primarily about obtaining a new weapon or outfit. Its main appeal is the investigation and additional Night City story content.
You Tell Me – New Minor Arcana Quest in Update 2.5
Update 2.5 also adds 12 Minor Arcana Tarot Cards hidden throughout Night City and the Badlands. These are separate from the original Major Arcana cards.
Scanning your first new Minor Arcana graffiti unlocks You Tell Me, a new side quest connected to Misty and the existing Fool on the Hill storyline.
- Find and scan any new Minor Arcana Tarot graffiti.
- Speak to Misty at Misty's Esoterica.
- Collect all 12 Minor Arcana cards around Night City and the Badlands.
- Return to Misty and tell her you've completed the collection.
- Choose the Tarot suit you prefer: Swords, Wands, Cups, or Pentacles.
- Wait for Misty's follow-up message, then return to receive your graphic T-shirt.
You can track your progress in the Tarot menu, which now separates Major and Minor Arcana. Seven of the 12 new cards are found in the Badlands, with the other five spread across the city's districts.
This is a collection quest rather than a third standalone story mission, but it's still new quest content worth completing in Update 2.5.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 New Missions Not Showing
If Clampdown or Welcome to Paradise isn't appearing in your Journal, first confirm you're running Update 2.5 and have met the requirements for that specific quest.
The two missions use different triggers. Clampdown requires Wakako gigs, while Welcome to Paradise requires Street Cred level 15. Completing the requirements for one doesn't automatically unlock the other.
- Clampdown missing: Make sure you've completed two Wakako gigs and check your phone for "A Request from King."
- Welcome to Paradise missing: Check that your Street Cred is at least 15 and look for Aera's message.
- No message after meeting the requirements: Try completing another activity, driving around Night City, or advancing some in-game time.
- Quest still unavailable: Save, restart the game, and check that Update 2.5 is installed correctly.
- Tarot quest missing: Scan one of the new Minor Arcana cards to activate You Tell Me.
Some players have reported delayed quest messages after installing Update 2.5 on existing saves. For Clampdown, visiting the BuryGer restaurant near MLK & Brandon has helped certain players receive Wakako's message, although this isn't a guaranteed fix.
Which Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 Mission Should You Play First?
If you want new weapons and a major combat mission, start with Clampdown. Its prison-break storyline provides the most substantial action-focused content and gives you equipment you can keep afterward.
If you're more interested in Night City's history and additional dialogue, Welcome to Paradise is the better starting point. It also requires no Wakako gig progression beyond the main story.
Neither story mission requires you to complete the other first. Once you've met their separate unlock conditions, you can play them in whichever order you prefer.
