Welcome to Elderfield Achievements Guide

Welcome to Elderfield has 51 achievements, but going for 100% is much easier to understand once you stop treating them as 51 completely separate objectives. A large chunk of the list is made up of progression chains for crops, animal products, gold, deaths, relationships, blessings, curses, and difficulty clears, so you can work toward several achievements at once rather than grinding each one individually.

Work on the Long Achievement Grinds From the Beginning

The best way to approach all 51 Welcome to Elderfield achievements is to identify the requirements that track huge cumulative totals and let them progress while you work on everything else. I would not leave 10,000 harvested crops, 5,000 animal products, 1,000,000 total gold, or relationships with every character until the very end.

The farming chains are especially straightforward. Farming Sim starts at a single harvested crop before Green Thumb asks for 100, Green Hand jumps to 1,000, and Green Soul eventually requires 10,000. Animal products follow the same structure at 50, 500, and 5,000, while your gold achievements progress through 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, and finally 1,000,000 total gold.

I would therefore treat the achievement list as several parallel tracks. Keep farming, gathering animal products, earning gold, and developing relationships while you explore, fight bosses, complete the Art Gallery, work through Elderfield High, and deal with the Old Gods. By the time the more specific objectives are finished, a large portion of those cumulative grinds should already be behind you.

Deaths are another achievement chain I would mostly ignore at first. Welcome to Elderfield requires one death, Groundhog Day requires 10, and Tis But a Flesh Wound requires 100. Unless you somehow reach the end of everything else without dying enough, there is little reason to deliberately grind deaths early when normal play can already contribute toward all three.

Early and General Progression Achievements

A New Beginning — Step outside your home. This is the simplest achievement in the game and should be one of the first things you unlock.

Welcome to Elderfield — Die once. Despite sharing its name with the game, the achievement is actually tied to your first death.

Groundhog Day — Die 10 times. Your deaths accumulate toward this after the first one.

Tis But a Flesh Wound — Die 100 times. This is the final standard death milestone and one I would save any intentional grinding for until much later.

Farming Sim — Harvest your first crop. This also begins the much longer crop-harvesting achievement chain, so there is no reason to delay farming if you eventually want 100% completion.

All Farming and Animal Achievements

There are seven achievements directly tied to harvesting crops and animal products, and these should be treated as two cumulative progression chains rather than seven individual grinds.

Farming Sim — Harvest your first crop.

Green Thumb — Harvest 100 crops.

Green Hand — Harvest 1,000 crops.

Green Soul — Harvest 10,000 crops.

The jump from 1,000 to 10,000 is enormous compared with the early milestones, which is why I would keep harvesting throughout the entire playthrough rather than deciding to finish Green Soul from scratch at the end.

The animal-product chain works similarly:

Animal Tamer — Harvest 50 animal products.

Animal Herder — Harvest 500 animal products.

Animal Fanatic — Harvest 5,000 animal products.

Again, Animal Fanatic is the real long-term target. If you are going for every achievement, reaching 50 or 500 is just progress toward the 5,000 you ultimately need, so continuing to harvest animal products after the earlier achievements pop saves a much uglier cleanup grind later.

You Need to Earn 1,000,000 Total Gold

Welcome to Elderfield has four increasingly large gold milestones:

Pocket Money — Earn 1,000 total gold.

Doing Well — Earn 10,000 total gold.

Business Person — Earn 100,000 total gold.

Filthy Rich — Earn 1,000,000 total gold.

The useful detail here is the wording: each achievement requires you to earn a certain amount of total gold, rather than have that amount sitting in your inventory at once. I would therefore treat these as lifetime earning milestones and keep progressing normally instead of avoiding useful purchases because you think Filthy Rich requires a one-million-gold bank balance.

Filthy Rich is another achievement I would leave running in the background for as long as possible. Since you already have thousands of crop and animal-product harvests to complete, trying to finish those economic grinds alongside the gold requirement makes much more sense than separating them into isolated endgame tasks.

All Boss Achievements in Welcome to Elderfield

There are multiple achievements connected directly to killing named enemies and bosses. I would keep these separate from the big numerical grinds because each has a very specific target rather than a cumulative requirement.

Snooping Around — Slay the Hall Monitor.

Ultimate Shopper — Slay the Mall Administrator.

Mycelicide — Slay the Ancient Mushroom.

All Bark, but No Bite — Slay the Ancient Tree.

As Above — Slay the Gravemoss Colony.

So Below — Slay the Soul of the Catacombs.

Deep and Damp — Slay the Emissary of Daeus.

Deep and Dark — Slay the Emissary of Delvek.

Deep and Dead — Slay the Emissary Kaal.

Savior of Elderfield — Slay the Emissary of Xxarteck.

These are good achievements to use as your exploration checklist. If you are approaching the end of the game and still missing achievements, checking these ten named kills is considerably faster than blindly searching the entire achievement list for whatever failed to unlock.

Relationship and Friendship Achievements

Welcome to Elderfield rewards both sides of its relationship system, including being extremely good to everybody and apparently being an absolutely terrible friend.

Friendly — Reach 10 hearts with one character.

Socialite — Reach 10 hearts with all characters.

In This Together — Get married.

If you are ultimately going for Socialite, Friendly is effectively an intermediate goal rather than a separate project. Pick whichever character you want to develop first, hit 10 hearts for Friendly, and then continue working through the rest of the cast.

The negative friendship achievements go in the opposite direction:

Bad Friend — Decrease the friendship of the same character 10 times.

Oblivious — Decrease friendship 50 times in total.

The distinction matters. Bad Friend specifically wants 10 decreases applied to the same character, while Oblivious only cares about 50 friendship decreases in total. If you want to combine them efficiently, make sure at least 10 of your negative friendship actions are aimed at one character rather than spreading every decrease across the entire cast.

Re-Gifter is another social achievement with a more specific condition: give a Farm Visitor item right back to them. I would keep this in mind whenever Farm Visitors begin giving you items rather than trying to remember the achievement much later.

Combine the Old God, Blessing, and Curse Achievements

The Old God achievements form another natural progression pair.

Curious — Align yourself to an Old God.

Zealot — Align yourself to each Old God at least once.

If you plan to earn Zealot, Curious will naturally be satisfied during that process because aligning with every Old God necessarily requires aligning with at least one. I would therefore focus on tracking which Old Gods you have already aligned with instead of treating Curious as its own grind.

Blessings and curses each have a basic achievement followed by a much more demanding stacked version.

Sickly — Have 5 different curses at once.

Haggard — Have 5 stacks of 5 different curses at once.

Jacked — Have 5 different blessings at once.

God Mode — Have 5 stacks of 5 different blessings at once.

These are another place where the higher requirement subsumes the basic one. Reaching five stacks of five different curses means you necessarily have five different curses at that moment, while doing the same with blessings means you already satisfy the five-different-blessings requirement.

If I were planning a 100% run from the start, I would therefore think in terms of eventually building toward Haggard and God Mode. Sickly and Jacked are the easier checkpoints you should hit along the way.

Elderfield High Has Its Own Achievement Set

There are several achievements worth watching once your playthrough takes you toward Elderfield High.

Hooligan — Enter Elderfield High.

Ghost Hunter — Complete all 3 school scenarios in Elderfield High.

Snooping Around — Slay the Hall Monitor.

Hooligan is simply tied to entering the school, while Ghost Hunter requires considerably more commitment because all three school scenarios must be completed. The Hall Monitor also has its own separate boss achievement, so I would check all three of these requirements before considering your Elderfield High achievement cleanup finished.

Fishing, Art Gallery, Lemonade, and Other Special Achievements

A handful of achievements do not fit neatly into one of the major progression chains, making them the ones I would actually put on a cleanup checklist.

Why, That Little... — Get a bad result from drinking Abby's lemonade.

Borrowed Time — Survive 5 deaths by using Rings of Immortality.

Expert Angler — Win the Fishing Contest.

Good Source of Iron — Eat a sandwich filled with nails.

Borrowed Time is particularly worth distinguishing from the normal death achievements. You specifically need to survive five deaths through Rings of Immortality; simply dying repeatedly for Groundhog Day or Tis But a Flesh Wound is not the same requirement.

The Art Gallery has its own two-step completion chain:

Art Restoration — Complete one full room of the Art Gallery.

Supporting Arts & Culture — Complete the Art Gallery.

If full completion is your goal, Art Restoration is another intermediate achievement you should naturally reach while working toward Supporting Arts & Culture. I would keep filling the gallery after completing that first room rather than treating the first achievement as the endpoint.

These smaller objectives are exactly the achievements I would check after finishing the larger progression chains. It is much easier to deliberately drink Abby's lemonade, deal with a specific item interaction, or enter a contest than discover at the very end that you still need thousands of routine farming actions.

The Stone Tower Has Six Difficulty Achievements

The Stone Tower accounts for six of Welcome to Elderfield's 51 achievements, with five tied to increasingly difficult clears and one tied specifically to Custom difficulty.

Cozy Tower — Complete “The Stone Tower” task on Cozy Game difficulty or higher.

Easy Tower — Complete “The Stone Tower” task on Easy difficulty or higher.

Normal Tower — Complete “The Stone Tower” task on Normal difficulty or higher.

Hard Tower — Complete “The Stone Tower” task on Hard difficulty or higher.

Nightmare Tower — Complete “The Stone Tower” task on Nightmare difficulty.

Custom Tower — Complete “The Stone Tower” task on Custom difficulty.

The wording here is important. Cozy, Easy, Normal, and Hard all explicitly say “or higher,” while Nightmare specifically requires Nightmare and Custom specifically requires Custom.

Because the first four requirements are nested, I would try clearing The Stone Tower on the highest standard difficulty you can realistically manage rather than automatically working upward through four separate clears. A Nightmare completion satisfies the stated difficulty threshold for Cozy, Easy, Normal, and Hard on paper, although the achievement descriptions alone do not confirm exactly how Steam handles simultaneous lower-difficulty unlocks in practice.

Custom is different. It specifically requires completing The Stone Tower on Custom difficulty, so I would plan for a separate Custom run regardless of how the normal difficulty achievements stack.

The Fastest Route to 100% Achievements

If I were starting Welcome to Elderfield specifically with 100% achievements in mind, I would begin the long cumulative grinds immediately: harvest crops, collect animal products, earn gold, and start building relationships while progressing normally. I would let ordinary deaths work toward the 100-death requirement instead of farming them from the start.

Along the way, I would make sure I am completing every named boss, every Elderfield High scenario, the Art Gallery, the Fishing Contest, and the various special objectives rather than leaving all of them for the very end. I would also deliberately rotate through the Old Gods for Zealot and eventually build the full stacked blessing and curse setups required for God Mode and Haggard.

Near the end, I would check the achievement list by progression chain rather than one achievement at a time: 10,000 crops, 5,000 animal products, 1,000,000 gold, 100 deaths, 10 hearts with everyone, every Old God, all named bosses, full Art Gallery, all three school scenarios, five Ring of Immortality survivals, and the remaining one-off achievements.

Then I would finish with The Stone Tower difficulty achievements. The descriptions make the standard difficulties hierarchical, so attempting your highest viable difficulty first has a better chance of reducing the number of clears you need, while Custom should be treated as its own objective.

That approach does not remove the grind from Welcome to Elderfield's achievement list, but it does prevent the worst version of it: finishing everything interesting first and only then realizing you still have thousands upon thousands of crops and animal products left to collect.
