Star Wars Zero Company How to Change Class
You can change class in Star Wars Zero Company once you reach Cycle 3. The option is found at the Personnel console in the Den, where you can open an Operator's Focus Tree and select Change Specialization. Changing class is free, so you aren't permanently locked into the specialization you picked at the beginning of the game.

How to Change Class in Star Wars Zero Company
To change class, return to the Den and interact with the Personnel console located beside the main map table. Select the character you want to change, move over to the Focus Tree tab, and look in the bottom-right corner for the Change Specialization option.
The exact steps are:
1. Reach Cycle 3.
2. Return to the Den.
3. Use the Personnel console beside the map table.
4. Select the Operator you want to change.
5. Open the Focus Tree tab.
6. Select Change Specialization in the bottom-right corner.
7. Choose the new class you want.
There is no Credit cost or other resource requirement, so you can switch specialization without having to buy anything first.
When Can You Change Class?
The Change Specialization option becomes available at Cycle 3, which is very early in the campaign.
If you're still in the opening portion of Zero Company and can't find the option at Personnel, you probably haven't progressed far enough yet. Continue through the first few cycles and check again once Cycle 3 begins.
I wouldn't restart just because you chose the wrong specialization during character creation. You gain access to class changing early enough that it's much easier to keep playing and switch once Personnel gives you the option.

Do You Lose Focus Points When Changing Class?
No. Focus Points spent in your current specialization tree are refunded when you change class, so switching from one specialization to another doesn't mean throwing away the progression you've already earned.
This is the part I'd pay attention to before assuming you need to stick with your original class. You're not starting the new specialization from zero simply because you invested Focus elsewhere first. The refunded points can instead be spent on the new class tree.
Story-character Talent investment is treated separately, however. Focus Points placed into a story character's unique Talent aren't refunded when you change that character's specialization.
Which Characters Can Change Class?
Hawks can change class, and standard-class characters such as Trick and Kabb can also change specialization through Personnel.
Recruitable Operators give you even more freedom once recruitment opens up, since their combat setup can be customized rather than forcing you to keep whatever class they originally appeared with.
Unique classes are the important exception. Character-specific archetypes such as the Jedi and Mandalorian aren't normal specializations that can simply be transferred to another character through the Change Specialization menu.
Can You Change Class More Than Once?
Yes. Changing specialization isn't presented as a one-time decision, and because there is no cost attached to the process, you can return to Personnel again if the new class doesn't fit the way you're building your squad.
That's probably the most useful thing to know after finding the menu. You don't need to treat every class change like another permanent character-creation decision. If you change Hawks to Medic and later realize the team already has enough healing, you can move him into something else instead of building the entire squad around a choice that no longer makes sense.
For the actual process, though, there's only one thing you need to remember: reach Cycle 3, go to Personnel in the Den, open the Focus Tree, and select Change Specialization.
