Blood of Dawnwalker How Many Spoonfuls of Herbs
During the Withering Away quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker, Coen has to prepare medicine for Esme using Anca's recipe. The problem is that once you're actually standing there making it, the game doesn't let you check the instructions again.
If you've forgotten the exact amount, you need three spoonfuls of herbs. You also need to use hot water for the recipe to be correct.

This is the part I could easily see people second-guessing because you already read Anca's instructions earlier, but Dawnwalker takes the recipe away once you're at the point where you actually need to use it.
There isn't another menu you need to open or some clue around the house. If you're already looking at the dialogue choice, three spoonfuls is the correct option.
What Is the Correct Anca Recipe?
The complete recipe is hot water followed by three spoonfuls of herbs.
When Coen's father asks him to prepare the medicine, choose the hot water option first. After that, choose to add three spoonfuls of herbs.
Those are the two choices that follow the instructions Anca gave you earlier in Withering Away.
I would just make the medicine correctly here rather than testing the other combinations unless you're specifically trying to see alternate outcomes. The game gives you plenty of choices where there isn't necessarily one correct answer, but this recipe isn't really one of them.
What Happens If You Use the Wrong Amount of Herbs?
Getting Anca's recipe wrong can change what happens afterward, so choosing a random amount of herbs isn't harmless.
I won't spoil the result since this happens right at the beginning of the game, but there is a meaningful reason the game makes you remember the instructions instead of simply letting every combination work.
So if you just want the correct answer and want to continue the Prologue normally, use hot water and add three spoonfuls of herbs.
