Beast of Reincarnation Trophy & Achievement Guide

Beast of Reincarnation Trophy & Achievement Guide

Beast of Reincarnation has 46 trophies on PS5, including the Duty Fulfilled Platinum. The Xbox and PC achievement lists follow the same in-game completion requirements, minus the PlayStation-exclusive Platinum trophy.

This is a two-playthrough completion. New Game+ is mandatory, several skills remain unavailable during the first run, and the Keeper Golem requirement also carries into a second journey. Nothing is missable, there are no online requirements, and difficulty does not affect trophies or achievements.

The list looks much worse than it actually is. Most trophies fall into place through normal exploration, while the intimidating Level 100, full skill tree, and weapon-upgrade requirements can all be handled efficiently at the end. I think the biggest mistake would be grinding too early instead of letting two complete playthroughs do most of the work for you.

The Beast of Reincarnation Platinum Plan

The entire trophy and achievement list can be understood as five major jobs:

  • Finish the story twice: One normal playthrough followed by New Game+.
  • Fully explore the world: Campsites, Shrines, books, documents, paintings, manuals, seedlings, blades, and Elite Golems.
  • Complete Emma and Koo’s progression: Level 100, complete skill access, fully upgraded Arts, and maximum rapport.
  • Finish the equipment collection: Every blade and every ranged upgrade.
  • Clean up cumulative counters: Keeper Golems, enemy kills, and Koo item creation.

The only part that truly forces a second playthrough is New Game+. Everything else either benefits from the second run or can be cleaned up afterward.

The smartest overall route is:

  • Explore carefully during Playthrough One.
  • Finish region-based collectible cleanup after the ending.
  • Create a permanent backup save.
  • Rush the mandatory objectives in New Game+.
  • Complete Level 100, skills, and upgrades after the second ending.

You can use any difficulty during the first playthrough. No trophy asks you to beat a boss, chapter, or the full campaign on a specific setting.

What to Do During Your First Playthrough

Your first playthrough is not about earning every trophy. It is about building a strong completion save that will require as little backtracking as possible later.

Talk to every Keeper Golem

Finders, Keepers requires 30 Keeper Golem conversations, and there are not enough unique conversations to finish it in one run. The count carries between playthroughs, and speaking with the same Keeper again in New Game+ adds another conversation.

Whenever you see a seated Golem offering a hint, stop and talk to it. Doing this naturally means you should only need a handful of repeat conversations during New Game+.

Activate every Campsite and Shrine

Campsites are more than collectibles. They give you useful fast-travel points for later cleanup, so walking past one creates extra work twice: once for Happy Camper and again when you need to return to that part of the map.

Shrines are required for Soul Returned and should also be activated whenever you find them. There is no benefit to leaving either landmark untouched.

Keep Koo and Kagura research active

Both companions have rapport trophies, and their research projects progress as you gain experience in combat. Check the Cleanse Walker regularly, speak with both characters, and make sure another research project is active whenever one finishes.

Equip an item-producing Koo ability

Busy Paws only requires Koo to make items 30 times. Equip a passive ability that produces healing, incense, mines, or another consumable and leave it active while you play.

This should complete on its own long before the Platinum. There is no reason to stand around deliberately forcing 30 activations later.

Pick up exploration items when they are convenient

Collect nearby documents, books, seedlings, manuals, blades, and Lore Paintings, but do not turn every chapter into a five-hour search grid. The game allows post-story free roam, so anything missed can be collected later.

Fight Elites that are already on your route

Wandering Duelist requires every Elite Golem. Defeat the ones sitting beside story objectives or valuable pickups, but leave heavily overleveled detours for the post-game.

Returning with stronger blades, more Stims, and additional skills is faster than spending fifteen minutes forcing an Elite fight several levels too early.

What You Should Not Grind Early

The trophy list contains several large numbers, but almost none of them should become first-playthrough grinds.

Do not grind Level 100

Emma and Koo continue gaining experience throughout New Game+. Every level earned during the second story run is one fewer level you must farm afterward.

Do not farm 300 Malefacts or 300 Golems

The Sealer and Repose for the Departed count enemies defeated across the full save. Two playthroughs, Elite cleanup, collectible routes, and the Level 100 farm provide a huge number of additional kills.

Do not fully upgrade every new weapon

Blade Enthusiast and Munitions Master are endgame money trophies. Spreading upgrades across the campaign can leave you short when you finally need to complete an entire category.

Upgrade the weapons you actually use. Save the completion purchases for one controlled session at the end.

Do not try to own both complete skill trees simultaneously

The trophies only need the game to register each completed tree. Manual saves let you spend the same Skill Points on Emma, reload, and then use them on Koo.

Do not restart for missed collectibles

Earlier regions remain available after the ending. Missing one painting, blade, or manual does not ruin the playthrough.

How to Handle Post-Game Cleanup

After reaching the ending, your completed save can still explore previous regions. This is the best time to finish the map before beginning New Game+.

The most efficient cleanup method is regional rather than collectible-based.

For each region:

  • Activate every remaining Campsite.
  • Find every Shrine.
  • Check for the region’s Lore Painting.
  • Collect missing documents, books, manuals, and seedlings.
  • Defeat remaining Elite Golems.
  • Check merchants for blades or manuals.
  • Pick up any missed exploration blades.
  • Speak with remaining Keeper Golems.

Do not search all regions for documents and then repeat the entire world for Shrines. Finish every outstanding category in one area before moving to the next.

Once the first-run world is clean, create a manual save that you will never overwrite. Keep that file as your completed free-roam backup before starting New Game+.

What to Do in New Game+

New Game+ is a required second playthrough, but it does not need to become another full collectible run.

Your main goals are:

  • Complete the story again for Reincarnated.
  • Unlock the skills that only become available during the second run.
  • Finish the 30 Keeper Golem conversation total.
  • Carry the first-completion blade reward into the full collection.
  • Continue earning experience, currency, enemy kills, and research progress.

You can move through New Game+ much faster because story bosses, routes, and major objectives are already familiar.

Our Beast of Reincarnation bosses and locations guide covers every major fight, Nushi rematch, and early Elite cleanup route if you need a refresher during the second run.

Do not repeat a full collectible sweep unless something specific remains incomplete. Your first-run backup should already contain the bulk of the exploration progress.

Use Manual Saves to Cut Out Extra Grinding

Beast of Reincarnation provides 15 manual save slots, and trophy hunters should actually use them. Several expensive requirements only need to exist long enough for the trophy to unlock.

Permanent post-game backup

  • Finish the first story.
  • Complete your regional cleanup.
  • Create a manual save that remains outside New Game+.

Attribute reset backup

  • Save before visiting Mikoto.
  • Reset Emma or Koo’s attributes for Degeneration.
  • Reload if you want the Amber and original setup back.

Skill Point backup

  • Reach Level 100 and save with your points unspent.
  • Complete Emma’s skill requirements.
  • Reload the save.
  • Complete Koo’s skill requirements using the restored points.

Equipment upgrade backup

  • Collect every required weapon and ammunition type.
  • Create a manual save before spending money.
  • Fully upgrade every blade.
  • Reload after Blade Enthusiast unlocks.
  • Use the restored currency on ranged weapons, arrows, and bolts.

You can also sell unused items after creating the backup. Once the trophy unlocks, reload and the original inventory returns.

This is much cleaner than farming enough money to permanently own every blade and ranged upgrade at the same time.

All Story and Boss Trophies

The story-related trophies are automatic. None require a special difficulty, weapon, elemental attack, or no-damage victory.

  • Purifier’s Mantle: Obtain the Purifier’s outfit.
  • Entangled: Entangle with Koo during the required story sequence.
  • Rangifer’s End: Defeat Rangifer.
  • Lacerta’s End: Defeat Lacerta.
  • Taurus’s End: Defeat Taurus.
  • Corvus’s End: Defeat Corvus.
  • Ursa’s End: Defeat Ursa.
  • Erymanth’s End: Defeat Erymanth.
  • Koo de Grâce: Defeat Koo’s Nushi form.
  • Shidou & Nue: Defeat Shidou and Nue.
  • Kunai & Kirin: Defeat Kunai and Kirin.
  • The End of Reincarnation: Defeat the final Beast of Reincarnation.
  • Life After the End: Reach the ending.
  • Reincarnated: Complete New Game+.

The boss trophies will unlock naturally as you move through the campaign. The only one requiring additional planning is Reincarnated because it asks for the entire second playthrough.

Exploration and Collectible Trophies

The exploration category contains the largest number of cleanup trophies, but none are missable.

  • First Fire: Discover your first Campsite.
  • Happy Camper: Discover every Campsite.
  • Place of Return: Discover your first Shrine.
  • Soul Returned: Discover every Shrine.
  • Behold, the Truth: Discover every Lore Painting.
  • Know-It-All: Read every document.
  • Gourmand: Obtain every cooking and crop book.
  • Manual Maniac: Obtain every arrow and bolt manual.
  • Green Thumb: Obtain every seedling type.
  • Finders, Keepers: Speak with 30 Keeper Golems.
  • Wandering Duelist: Defeat every Elite Golem.

Lore Painting planning

There is one Lore Painting in each of the first nine regions. That gives you a much easier checklist than searching every late-game map without knowing whether one exists.

Several paintings sit near important story rooms or other collectibles. The Ancient Civilization painting shares an area with Mechblade Heavy, while the Matsukawa painting is near Resonance Sword. Clearing both objectives during the same visit saves an unnecessary return trip.

Keeper Golem planning

Keeper conversations are cumulative between runs. The same Keeper can count once during the first playthrough and again during New Game+.

You do not need to find 30 different Golems. You only need 30 completed conversations across the save.

Elite Golem planning

Wandering Duelist specifically requires Elite Golems. Elite Malefacts do not count toward this trophy, although fighting them may still be useful for loot or regional completion.

Emma and Koo Progression Trophies

Emma and Koo each have a Level 100 trophy and two skill-tree trophies.

Emma

  • The Ultimate Vessel: Reach Level 100 with Emma.
  • Giant Tree Budburst: Obtain all of Emma’s skills.
  • Blademaster: Fully upgrade Emma’s Blade Arts and Finishers.

Koo

  • The Perfect Pal: Reach Level 100 with Koo.
  • Giant Tree in Bloom: Obtain all of Koo’s skills.
  • Floral Profusion: Fully upgrade Koo’s Bloom Arts.

The skill menus contain root abilities and the larger skill tree. The Bronze trophies require all root skills and the base version of the main tree abilities. The Gold trophies require the relevant Arts and Finishers to be fully upgraded.

Some required skills only become available during New Game+, so do not spend hours searching for a missing first-run unlock.

Level 100 farming route

Finish New Game+ before farming. After the second story run, travel to the Crater: Outskirt Campsite and head west into the large crater.

A Withered Beast appears inside. Defeat it, return to the Campsite, rest to reset the area, and repeat the short loop until Emma and Koo reach Level 100.

Once both are Level 100, use the Skill Point backup method rather than grinding enough points to complete both entire trees on one permanent save.

Rapport trophies

  • Closest Companion: Reach maximum rapport with Koo.
  • Bestie: Reach maximum rapport with Kagura.
  • Man’s Best Friend: Have a deep talk with Koo.
  • Knowing Me, Knowing You: Have a deep talk with Kagura.

Koo and Kagura both reach maximum rapport at Level 10. Talk to them inside the Cleanse Walker, complete research projects, and use Koo’s available personal interactions.

Knowing Me, Knowing You is tied to an early story conversation. Man’s Best Friend requires selecting the Talk option with Koo after the rapport and sleeping systems become available.

Blade and Ranged Weapon Trophies

The equipment trophies are expensive but mechanically straightforward.

  • Blade Collector: Obtain every blade.
  • Blade Enthusiast: Fully upgrade every blade.
  • Munitions Master: Fully upgrade every ranged weapon, arrow type, and bolt type.

Blade Collector

The complete collection contains 21 blades. They come from starting equipment, story rewards, merchants, Elite encounters, side interactions, and world pickups.

The collection breaks down into several useful groups:

  • Starting blades: Mechblade Standard and Purifier Blade.
  • Story and boss rewards: Thunderwave Sword, Fall Thunder, Black Blossom, Camelia, and Kanzashi.
  • Merchant blades: Purity, Bell Sword, and Winterwake.
  • Exploration blades: Cirrus Sword, Mechblade Light, Mechblade Heavy, Hunter’s Sword, Sunrise Sword, Resonance Sword, Hazebringer, Shark Cutter, Spring Storm, and Silverlight.
  • Conditional reward: First Moon.

First Moon deserves special attention. During the Giant Tree Zone sequence, return the recovered object to the Golem near the cable car and do not look inside it. Following the request earns the blade.

Kanzashi is tied to completing the story and becomes part of the full collection after the first ending.

Blade Enthusiast

Every blade must reach +3. Wait until the full collection is available, create a manual save, and purchase every upgrade in one session.

Munitions Master

Every arrow and bolt type has upgrades split between elemental power and ammunition capacity. Complete every available level for every ranged category.

This is likely to be your most expensive trophy, which is why the upgrade backup matters so much. Unlock Blade Enthusiast, reload, and reuse the same money for Munitions Master.

Combat, Enemy, and Koo Trophies

The Sealer

Defeat 300 Malefacts. Malefacts are the organic, animal-like enemies found throughout the game.

Repose for the Departed

Defeat 300 Golems. Golems are the robotic enemy family.

Leave both counters alone until after New Game+. The second campaign and your remaining cleanup may complete them automatically.

Busy Paws

Have Koo make items 30 times. This is 30, not 300.

Equip an item-producing passive early and let Koo use it throughout regular combat. The ability consumes resources whenever it creates the relevant support item.

Snack Time

After Koo’s rapport feature becomes available, open your consumables while exploring and feed him a treat.

Blight-Touched

Enhance any attribute for Emma or Koo after gaining a level.

Easy and Hidden Trophy Solutions

Degeneration

The ability to reset attributes becomes available through Mikoto during the Ancient Civilization Zone. Reset Emma or Koo once using Amber.

Save first and reload afterward when you only want the trophy and do not intend to change the build.

Horror in the Sky

Point the camera directly at the crescent-shaped object in the sky. Keep looking at it until the sequence ends and Emma dies.

Entangled

This unlocks during the second flashback sequence. Using Entangle earlier does not replace the story-based trophy trigger.

Purifier’s Mantle

Obtained automatically after the prologue when Emma enters the first main region.

First Fire

Activate the first Campsite you encounter.

Place of Return

Interact with your first Shrine.

Final Platinum and 100% Achievement Checklist

Before expecting Duty Fulfilled to unlock, check that you have completed all five major completion groups.

  • Completed the first ending.
  • Defeated every mandatory boss.
  • Completed New Game+.

  • All Campsites and Shrines.
  • All Lore Paintings.
  • All documents.
  • All cooking and crop books.
  • All seedlings.
  • All arrow and bolt manuals.
  • Every Elite Golem defeated.
  • 30 Keeper Golem conversations completed.

Emma and Koo

  • Both characters at Level 100.
  • All base skills obtained.
  • All required Arts and Finishers upgraded.
  • Koo and Kagura at maximum rapport.
  • Koo has made at least 30 items.

Equipment

  • All 21 blades collected.
  • Every blade upgraded to +3.
  • Every ranged weapon, arrow, and bolt fully upgraded.

Combat and miscellaneous

  • 300 Malefacts defeated.
  • 300 Golems defeated.
  • Attributes reset once.
  • Koo fed a treat.
  • The crescent moon event completed.

Duty Fulfilled unlocks after every other PS5 trophy is earned. Xbox and PC players follow the same main completion route for 100% achievements, without the final Platinum unlock.

The best way to finish Beast of Reincarnation is not to chase every trophy individually. Build one thorough first-run save, clear the map by region, sprint New Game+, and use manual backups for skills and expensive upgrades. That approach turns the endgame into a controlled checklist instead of several disconnected grinds.
