Sonar is a vision-control Lancer who’s amazing at revealing enemy positions and silencing movement. Her abilities allow her to track enemies, disorient them with sound waves, and cloak her team’s movement, making her a great pick for players who want to counter sneaky movement.

Sonar’s Abilities

  • (Q) Echolocation – Deploys a small device that periodically scans for enemy movement, revealing opponents in range.

  • (E) Sonic Surge – Fires a sonic wave that reveals and dazes enemies, followed by a delayed blast that knocks them back and exposes their location.

  • (T) Sound of Silence – Dampens the footsteps of Sonar and nearby teammates, while also granting immunity to Echolocation scans.

How to Play Sonar

Use (Q) Echolocation to Track Enemy Movements

  • Place the scanner in high-traffic areas to detect enemy rotations and flanks.

  • Combine with Sound of Silence to move undetected while keeping enemies revealed.

Disrupt Enemies with (E) Sonic Surge

  • Fire the wave into grouped enemies to daze and knock them back.

  • Use it to reveal hidden enemies, preventing them from sneaking up on your team.

Move Silently with (T) Sound of Silence

  • Activate when pushing objectives or flanking, allowing your team to move undetected.

  • Use it in coordination with Echolocation to counter enemy tracking abilities.
