In ZERO Sievert, switching ammo types can give you an advantage in different combat situations. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Make Sure You Have Different Ammo Types

To change ammo types you (obviously) need more than one kind of ammo that fits your weapon. You can:

  • Buy Ammo: Vendors at the base sell different kinds of ammunition.

  • Loot Ammo: Collect ammo from enemies, containers, or supply caches during missions.

2. Check Your Weapon’s Ammo Compatibility

Not all weapons use the same ammo. To see what works with your weapon:

  • Open your Inventory and select your weapon.

  • Look at the weapon’s details to find the ammo type it uses (e.g., 9x19mm, 5.45x39mm).

  • Make sure the new ammo type matches this specification.

3. How to Change Ammo Type

To switch between ammo types:

  1. Open Your Inventory: Press the key to bring up your inventory menu.

  2. Select Your Weapon: Click on the weapon you want to reload with a different ammo type.

  3. Drag and Drop the Ammo: Drag the desired ammo type from your inventory to the weapon or its ammo slot. This will automatically load the new ammo.

  4. Confirm the Change: Check the ammo counter or weapon details to confirm the switch.

Quick Ammo Change During Combat

If you want to change ammo on the fly:

  1. Open the Reload Menu: Press the reload key (usually "R") and hold it to bring up the ammo menu.

  2. Choose Ammo Type: Use the menu to select a different ammo type.

  3. Reload: The weapon will reload with the new ammo type, provided you have it in your inventory.

Tips for Using Different Ammo Types

  • Armor-Piercing Ammo: Great for enemies with heavy armor but often limited in supply.

  • Hollow Point Ammo: Effective against unarmored targets and soft-bodied enemies.

  • Stockpile Ammo: Always carry enough of each type to stay ready for any situation.

  • Plan Ahead: Choose your ammo type before heading into a mission based on the threats you expect to face.
