How to Get a Boat in Longvinter

So, you want a boat. Good call—walking is slow, and swimming is not an option. But getting your hands on a boat isn’t as simple as crafting some wood and hoping for the best. Here’s what you need to know in order to get a boat in Longvinter.
Option 1: Find a Boat
If you’re lucky (or just stubborn), you can find wooden boats sitting around in certain boat houses. These aren’t “yours” exactly, but if no one else is using them… well, finders keepers.
Boat House Locations:
Between Pettu and Pix – A free wooden boat might be sitting there.
Between Pettu and Kolkka – Another boat house worth checking.
Grunni – Known boat house location.
Koilot – Has a boat house, but the boat there might not be functional.
The catch? There’s no guarantee a boat will be there when you arrive, so you might have to camp out like a seagull waiting for scraps.
Option 2: Buy a Boat (The "Legit" Way)
If you prefer actually owning your boat (instead of "borrowing" one indefinitely), you’ll need to travel to Koilot and buy one.
Requirements:
Koilot Access – You can’t just waltz in. You need 50% of your fish compendium completed (which means catching around 10-11 different fish). If you hate fishing, you’re going to hate this requirement.
Money – A boat costs about 3,000 MK. That’s a lot of berries.
Once you meet the fishing requirement and have the cash, just head to Koilot, hand over your hard-earned money, and sail away like the captain you were meant to be.
Final Tips
Check boat houses first – Free is always better.
If you want your own boat, start fishing – No fish, no Koilot, no boat.
Save up 3,000 MK – Boats don’t come cheap.
Get a map – If you don’t know where Koilot is, you’re going to have a bad time.
Now get out there and claim the open waters—or at least a dingy little rowboat.
