Longvinter: Where to Find Caves

It looks like… You’re looking for caves. Maybe you want ore, maybe you like puzzles, or maybe you just enjoy dark, damp places. Either way, caves are a new addition, and they aren’t exactly marked with neon signs. Here’s how to find caves in Longvinter.

What Do Caves Look Like?

Caves in Longvinter aren’t just random holes in the ground, and they’re not conveniently tucked into obvious cliff sides like in other games. Instead, they look like dark entrances in rock formations, usually blending into the terrain. If you’re running past cliffs or rocky areas and see an opening that looks suspiciously different from the rest of the scenery, that’s probably your cave.

Where to Find Caves

Here are two confirmed cave locations:

  1. Repouuro Cave – You’ll need a boat to get here. If you don’t have one yet, check out the boat guide.

  2. Hiittine Island Cave – Another cave, another boat trip. You’re sensing a theme here, right?

Since these caves contain ore and puzzles, you might want to bring supplies in case things get tricky.

What’s Inside the Caves?

  • Ore deposits – Perfect for mining and crafting.

  • Puzzles – Because getting free loot would be too easy.

  • Probably danger – NPCs, environmental hazards, or just the crushing weight of your poor life choices.

Final Tips

  • Get a boat – Unless you enjoy long, sad walks along the shore.

  • Bring tools – If you’re mining, don’t forget a pickaxe.

  • Expect some puzzles – If you hate thinking, maybe caves aren’t for you.

Now go forth, find a cave, and don’t get lost.
