How to Pick Up Tent | Longvinter

If you placed your tent in what seemed like a great spot—only to realize later that there’s no room to build or expand—you’re not stuck. You can dismantle and move your tent to a better location. The game doesn’t explain this very clearly, but the process is simple once you know what to do.
Step 1: Place a Workshop Inside Your Tent
To remove your tent, you must first place a Workshop inside it.
If you don’t already have a Workshop, you’ll need to craft one or buy one from a vendor.
Walk inside your tent and place the Workshop anywhere—it doesn’t need to be in a specific spot.
Step 2: Use the Workshop to Dismantle the Tent
Interact with the Workshop to open its menu.
Look for the Dismantle option and select it.
Your tent will disappear and return to your inventory, allowing you to place it somewhere else.
Step 3: Find a Better Spot and Rebuild
After dismantling, check your inventory to make sure the tent is there.
Find a flat, open area where you have more room to build.
Place the tent again, making sure you leave enough space for expansions like storage, crafting stations, or decorations.
Things to Keep in Mind
Remove all items from inside the tent before dismantling. Anything left inside won’t automatically transfer, so take everything out first.
Choose your new spot carefully. Some areas might look good at first but can make expansion difficult later.
If you lose track of your tent after dismantling, check your inventory or storage. It should be there unless something went wrong.
Once you’ve picked up and moved your tent, you’ll have a much easier time organizing your space and making the most of your camp. If you're planning to expand, it’s always good to leave extra space around your tent from the start so you don’t have to move it again later.
