Where to Start
To find Sea Dollars, you’ll need:
A fishing rod
Some bait
A spot at one of the four designated fishing locations in the Plaza (Boardwalk, Game World dock, near the East stores, or the peninsula)
Buy your fishing supplies from the Gone Fishin’ Bait Shop on the Boardwalk.
What to Look For
Sea Dollars come from catching fish that contain items. These fish don’t look like normal ones—they’re either:
Translucent with a question mark – these drop general items
Wireframe with a question mark – these drop rarer items, including Sea Dollars
You’ll need to use bait that attracts these item-based fish types. Experiment with different baits if they’re not showing up.
Catching Tips
Cast your line and wait for a fish to bite (you’ll see a ‘!’ and then a jaw icon).
Reel it in carefully—don’t let the stress bar max out or the fish escapes.
Once caught, check if the fish contains an item. Sea Dollars are random, so you might need a few tries.
Final Blurb
Sea Dollars aren’t guaranteed, but with the right bait and a little patience, they’ll show up in no time. Focus on fishing for item-type fish, and if you're lucky, one of them will be holding some shiny ocean currency just for you.
