If the default six-player lobby in R.E.P.O. isn’t enough for your crew, the More Players mod lets you increase the max player count so you can bring in even more friends (or extra cannon fodder). Here’s how to install the lobby size mod.

Step 1: Install BepInEx (Mod Framework)

Before adding any mods, you need BepInEx, the tool that lets R.E.P.O. run mods.

  1. Download BepInEx from Thunderstore.

  2. Click Manual Download and save the file.

  3. Open the .zip file and go to the BepInExPack folder.

  4. Extract everything into your game’s directory:

    • Right-click R.E.P.O. in Steam → Hover over Manage → Click Browse local files.

  5. Launch the game once to let BepInEx set up its files.

Step 2: Install the More Players Mod

Now that BepInEx is installed, you can add the More Players mod.

  1. Download the mod from Thunderstore.

  2. Open the .zip file and find the plugins folder.

  3. Drag the plugins folder into the BepInEx directory inside the game’s files.

Step 3: Adjust the Lobby Size

By default, the mod increases the lobby size, but you can customize it to fit your needs.

  1. Go to the BepInEx/config folder.

  2. Open the file "zelofi.MorePlayers.cfg" using Notepad.

  3. Find the setting for maximum players and change the number as needed.

  4. Save the file and launch the game.

This mod is great for bigger groups, but be aware—R.E.P.O. wasn’t built for massive lobbies, so expect chaos, lag, or even crashes if you push it too far. Have fun, and try not to lose half your squad in the first five minutes!
