Where to Find Deer
You’ll mostly find deer wandering around Bramblemead Valley. They’re hard to miss thanks to their big antlers and habit of bolting the second they sense movement.
Can You Use Melee?
Technically, yes. Realistically? No.
Deer are fast, easily spooked, and absolutely not interested in getting clubbed. If you try melee, you’ll end up chasing pixelated venison through the woods until nightfall. So let’s go ranged.
Read our guide on how to craft a bow.
How to Make Arrows
If you don’t already have Fang Arrows, use Stone Arrows. You get 33 arrows per craft:
1x Stone
1x Ash Log
1x Feather
Time to Hunt
Equip your Ash Shortbow.
Crouch (press C) and sneak up on the deer.
Shoot once — that’s all it takes.
Walk over and collect Antlers, Raw Meat, and maybe some Bones.
Final Blurb
Deer might look peaceful, but they’re built like Olympic sprinters. With a bow and some basic arrows, though, they’re nothing more than mobile meatbags with loot on their head. Happy hunting.
