KCD2 For Whom the Bell Tolls Potion Guide

In For Whom the Bell Tolls, you’re stuck in Trovsky Castle doing odd jobs. One of those jobs is making a potion to help the Chamberlain with his stomach issues. If you diagnosed him correctly, you’ll need to brew both a Digestive Potion and a Fever Tonicum. If you failed, don’t worry—just make the Fever Tonicum.

Where to Find the Ingredients

Most of the ingredients are in the surgeon’s workshop, inside a chest by the alchemy station (easy lock). The only thing missing is Charcoal, which you should have picked up at the Smithy earlier from the red urn.

Digestive Potion Recipe

  • Ingredients:

    • Water

    • 1 Nettle

    • 2 Thistle

    • 1 Charcoal

  • Process:

    1. Boil the Thistle in water for 2 turns.

    2. Grind the Nettle, then add it to the cauldron.

    3. Boil for 1 more turn.

    4. Grind the Charcoal and add it.

    5. Pour the potion.

Fever Tonicum Recipe

  • Ingredients:

    • Wine

    • 3 Feverfew

    • 2 Ginger

    • 1 Elderberry Leaf

  • Process:

    1. Boil the Feverfew in wine for 2 turns.

    2. Grind the Elderberry Leaf and add it.

    3. Toss in the Ginger.

    4. Distill the potion.

Final Steps

Once the potions are ready, return to the Chamberlain. If you made both, he’ll be grateful (but still a bit of a jerk). If you only made the Fever Tonicum, you’ll still pass—he just won’t be as impressed. Either way, this unlocks the next part of the quest.

Now, go save Capon. Again.
