Short answer: Yes, but you might need to do some tinkering.

R.E.P.O. isn’t officially Steam Deck Verified (yet), but it generally runs fine with Proton. That said, don’t expect a plug-and-play experience—you’ll need to do some work to get it feeling right.

What Works on Steam Deck

  • Performance seems solid – No major crashes or game-breaking issues reported.

  • Runs through Proton – No need for weird workarounds or dark magic.

What Needs Work on Steam Deck

  • Controls aren’t mapped by default. You’ll need to set them up yourself, but luckily, some players have already done the work and uploaded custom layouts.

  • The scroll wheel controls can be a pain. If you don’t want to spam the buttons, enable turbo mode for smoother gameplay.

Verdict: Playable, but DIY Required

If you don’t mind tweaking controls and adjusting settings, R.E.P.O. works just fine on the Steam Deck. But if you’re hoping for a fully optimized experience out of the box, you might want to wait until official support—or just embrace the chaos and map the buttons yourself.
