R.E.P.O. Human Grenade: What It Does

The Human Grenade in R.E.P.O. is found in the secret shop area and sounds exactly what it sounds like—a grenade that doesn’t care if you’re a monster, a teammate, or just an innocent bystander. It causes a small explosion, deals solid damage, and can earn you anywhere from $3K to $8K if used wisely. Or, it can just turn you into a fine mist if you’re not careful.

It’s worth noting that this is worse than the regular grenade, but it is cheaper.

How It Works

  • Cost: $3K - $8K

  • Damage: 25+ (to anything in range)

  • Blast Radius: 10 meters

  • Best Used For: Blowing up monsters, teammates who stole your loot, or just making a dramatic exit

When to Use It

Against Groups of Monsters – If multiple enemies are swarming, this is your best chance at cleaning house quickly.
On Enemies That Are Tough to Kill – Some creatures, like the Clown or Trudge, are tanky. This can help soften them up or finish them off.
As a Last Resort – If you’re cornered and doomed, might as well take a few monsters with you.

When NOT to Use It

In Tight Spaces – Blowing up a monster is fun. Blowing up yourself? Less fun.
Near Valuable Loot – The grenade doesn’t discriminate. If you’re trying to make money, maybe don’t incinerate your payday.
When Holding It for Too Long – Like any grenade, it doesn’t care if you’re “not ready yet.” Throw it before it throws you into the afterlife.

Final Thoughts

The Human Grenade is a fantastic tool if you know when and where to use it. If you don’t? Well, at least your team will have a great laugh before they loot your body. Use wisely, throw carefully, and maybe stand back a little.
