Removing a door in Rust is pretty simple, and it’s something you might need to do if you’re upgrading or replacing your door. Here’s how to do it step by step:

Step 1: Unlock the Door

  1. Go to the door you want to remove.

  2. If it has a lock, press E to unlock it.

  3. Hold E again and select Remove Lock to take the lock off.

Step 2: Remove the Door

  1. Open the door.

  2. Hold E while looking at the door.

  3. Select Remove Door from the menu.

Step 3: Replace the Door (Optional)

If you’re upgrading or changing your door:

  1. Place the new door by selecting it in your inventory and positioning it in the doorframe.

  2. Attach the lock to the new door.

  3. Lock it by holding E and selecting Lock.

Important Tip for Wooden Doors

  • Wooden doors have a hard side (the side with boards) and a soft side. Make sure the hard side faces out to make it harder for others to break in.

By following these steps, you can easily remove or replace doors in Rust. It’s a quick process and useful when upgrading your base with stronger doors like steel ones. Happy building!
