If your armor looks like it lost a fight with a bear, it’s time for repairs. Ignoring it means taking more damage and losing protection, so fix it before you start looking like a walking scrap heap. Here’s a quick guide on repairing and cleaning armor in KCD2.

Option 1: Visit a Blacksmith

  • The blacksmith in Tachov (Radovan) can repair your armor—for a price.

  • Early on, repairs can be expensive, so save this option for when you're rich.

Option 2: Use Repair Kits

If you'd rather DIY your repairs, use single-use Armor Repair Kits:

  • Armorer’s Kit – For chainmail and quilted armor.

  • Cobbler’s Kit – Fixes boots and leather gear.

  • Blacksmith’s Kit – Repairs swords and maces.

  • Marksman’s Kit – Restores bows and crossbows.

  • Gunsmith’s Kit – Keeps firearms in working order.

Each kit has a limit—the more damaged your armor is, the faster the kit wears out.

How to Clean Your Armor

Nobody respects a knight covered in filth. Keeping your armor clean helps with Charisma and stops people from looking at you like a highwayman.

Quick Wash

  • Water barrels and laundry spots let you rinse off for free.

Thorough Cleaning

  • Bathhouses will clean your armor and heal you, but it costs money.

  • Soap can be bought or looted and lets you wash armor at any time.

  • If you’re feeling crafty, you can brew soap using alchemy with oil, thistle, dandelion, and charcoal.

Now go fix your gear, clean yourself up, and try not to get beaten up again too soon.
