Mutt is a good boy, and good boys deserve praise. But if you're struggling to figure out how to properly tell him he’s the best dog in Bohemia, here’s what you need to do:
How to Praise Mutt
Get Close to Him – Stand right in front of Mutt. If you're too far, the option won’t appear.
Face Him Directly – Make sure you’re actually looking at him. If the option is greyed out, adjust your position.
Check If He’s Bugged – If the praise option isn’t showing at all, try sending him home. He’ll go to the Wagoners Inn north of Zhelejov. Go there, talk to the innkeeper, and pick him up again.
Wait It Out – Some players have reported that the option appears after Mutt’s obedience drops or after completing early missions like the blacksmith or miller quests.
If none of that works, Mutt might just be holding a grudge for all the time you ignored him. Try saving and reloading, and if all else fails, accept that he’s giving you the silent treatment.
