How to Smelt in Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen
Smelting in Pantheon is an essential skill for crafting bars from raw ore, which you can use to make gear or sell for a profit. Here’s a quick guide on how to get started.
Step 1: Get a Smelting Schematic
To begin smelting, you need a smelting schematic. You can purchase the Ore Smelting Basic schematic from NPC vendors like Haley Ren. It costs around 1 silver and 46 copper, so make sure you have enough money before heading over.
Step 2: Learn the Schematic
Once you’ve bought the schematic, open your inventory and right-click it to learn. This will unlock the ability to smelt basic materials like copper.
Step 3: Gather Ore
Before you can smelt anything, you’ll need to gather ore. You can get copper ore and other types by either mining yourself or trading with other players. If you don’t have mining skills, focus on buying or trading for ore until you have enough to start smelting.
Step 4: Smelt the Ore
To smelt your ore:
Head to a smelting station (look for NPCs like Sad Flintfinger near the forge).
Interact with the station and choose the smelting option.
Select the ore you want to smelt and click the smelt button.
Each smelting process has a chance to produce different results. Sometimes you may get perfect bars, but don’t be discouraged if you don’t always get the best outcome.
Step 5: Sell or Use the Bars
Once you’ve smelted your ore into bars, you have a few options:
Sell the bars: Copper and bronze bars can be sold to other players. A common price (as of writing this) has been around 20 silver for a stack of 20 bars, depending on the market.
Keep the bars: Save the bars for crafting, especially if you plan to make weapons, armor, or other items later. You’ll need a combination of different bars, like copper and ash, to create bronze.
Combining Bars to Make Bronze
As you level up your smelting skill, you’ll unlock the ability to refine higher-tier metals. For example, you can combine copper bars and ash to create bronze bars. This requires a higher-level smelting schematic, so keep an eye out for it as you progress.
Smelting Tips
Stockpile ore: Smelting requires a lot of raw materials, so gather as much ore as you can.
Trade with other players: If you don’t want to spend time mining, try trading potions or other valuable items for ore.
Level up gradually: As you gain smelting experience, you’ll unlock more advanced schematics, like those for aerium and other rare metals.
Sell wisely: Smelted bars are always in demand, especially by players working on crafting professions. Keep an eye on prices and sell when demand is high.
