In Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), your character moves at a running pace by default. If you want to walk, here’s how you can toggle between running and walking:

1. Use the Default Keybind

  • Toggle Walk/Run: Press the "/" key on the numeric keypad (numpad) of your keyboard. This key is usually located above the "8" key on the numpad.

  • Switching Modes: Pressing this key toggles your character’s movement between walking and running.

2. Customize the Keybind

If your keyboard doesn’t have a numpad or you want to use a different key:

  • Access Key Bindings:

    1. Press the "Esc" key to open the main menu.

    2. Select "Preferences" and go to the "Key Bindings" tab.

  • Set a New Key:

    1. In the key bindings list, find the "Toggle Walk/Run" option.

    2. Click the current keybind to change it, then press your preferred key.

    3. Click "Apply" to save the changes.

3. Additional Tips

  • Autorun Feature: Press the "Num Lock" key to enable autorun. This makes your character move forward automatically without holding down any keys.

  • Use Walking for Immersion: Walking is great for role-playing or exploring social hubs. Remember to switch back to running when you need to travel faster or during combat.
