Is Wild Assault Coming to Console?

To get right to it, nope—not yet. Wild Assault is currently only available on PC through Steam. If you’re scrolling through the PlayStation or Xbox store looking for a third-person shooter with rabbit medics and flame-throwing bears, you’re not going to find it. Not for now, at least.
But here’s where things get hopeful: the developers have already said they’re aiming for a console release in the future. It’s not just a “maybe someday” situation—they’ve actually acknowledged console players and seem pretty interested in expanding beyond PC once the core game is stable.
That makes sense. Right now, Wild Assault is in Early Access. They’re still fixing bugs, tuning characters, smoothing out bot behavior, and responding to player feedback. Trying to wrangle a console release while juggling all that would probably make the servers catch fire. So PC comes first.
In the meantime, there’s nothing wrong with having options. Once Wild Assault finishes cooking and gets its full release, a console version seems like a solid next step. The game already plays well with a controller on PC, and the bite-sized chaos of 20v20 matches would fit consoles just fine.
So if you’re a console player, don’t give up on it—just maybe keep an eye on the updates and wait for the devs to give the go-ahead. When it shows up on your console of choice, you’ll be more than ready to start yelling at bots and dive-rolling through enemy fire like the rest of us.
