Looking for the Dueling Longsword in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? It’s not exactly lying around in a merchant’s shop waiting for you to pick it up. Instead, you’ll have to lockpick, steal, or hope a well-equipped bandit conveniently donates it to you.

Confirmed Locations

Guild Hall in Kuttenberg – This is the most reliable place to find the Dueling Longsword, but of course, it’s not that simple.

  • Locked behind two Very Hard locks – If your lockpicking skill is nonexistent, you’ll need to fix that first.

  • No known key, so don’t waste time looking for one.

Looted from Bandits – Some players have found it on high-level bandits, particularly those outside Kuttenberg.

  • If you prefer a more violent approach, ambushing well-armed enemies might work.

  • No guarantees, but if you’re lucky, one might be carrying the sword.

Possible Random Chest Spawns – There are reports of it appearing in bandit camps and high-tier loot chests, though this isn’t confirmed as a guaranteed drop.

How to Get It Without Lockpicking

If the idea of breaking into the Guild Hall makes you sweat, here are some alternatives:

  • Train Your Lockpicking – The fastest way to get inside is learning how to pick Very Hard locks.

  • Use a Quick Fingers Potion – This temporarily boosts your Thievery skill, which might be just enough to get you through.

  • Steal from a Well-Armed Bandit – If you see a bandit carrying a longsword, there’s a chance it’s the one you’re after. Either kill him or pickpocket him—both are solid options.

Final Thoughts

The Dueling Longsword isn’t something you just buy off a merchant. You’ll either need a high lockpicking skill, a good eye for bandit loot, or a willingness to commit some minor crimes. However you go about it, just remember—getting caught breaking into the Guild Hall might make things... complicated.
