Stuck looking for charcoal during the For Whom the Bell Tolls quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? Don’t panic. You won’t need to start chopping wood or bribe a coal miner. Here’s a quick and easy guide to get the charcoal you need.
Where to Find Charcoal
When you're hauling sacks for community service, you’ll eventually talk to the Blacksmith for more work. He’ll send you to make a horseshoe at the forge.
Right next to the supply chest at the forge, there’s a red urn sitting on a shelf.
Open the red urn to find:
Charcoal
Lockpick (grab it—you’ll need it too)
Boom—free charcoal, no fuss.
Why You Need It
Later in the quest, you’ll head up The Crone tower to the surgeon’s workshop. There, you’ll need to make a potion for the Chamberlain, and charcoal is a key ingredient.
If you skipped the red urn earlier, you’ll have to backtrack—or sneak around stealing apples while under pressure. Either way, better to grab the charcoal early and avoid the headache.
Final Blurb
Charcoal is easy to miss, but now you know where it is—next to the smithy in the red urn. Grab it, brew your potion, and save Capon’s hide yet again. You're the real MVP... with pockets full of charcoal.
