Venom is a dive tank in Marvel Rivals, excelling at jumping into the enemy team to create chaos. He’s durable, mobile, and an excellent disruptor. Here’s a simple guide to mastering Venom.

Venom’s Abilities

Dark Predation (Left Click)

Venom’s primary attack.

  • Medium-range tendrils lash out to damage enemies.

  • Effective for consistent pressure and basic engagements.

Cellular Corrosion (Right Click)

Unleashes tendrils that slow enemies within range.

  • If enemies remain tethered for too long, they take additional damage.

  • Ideal for disrupting multiple opponents in team fights.

Venom Swing (Shift)

Launches webbing forward for a quick swing in any direction.

  • Use it to engage enemies, reposition, or escape dangerous situations.

Feast of the Abyss (Q)

Burrows underground and emerges to devour enemies, dealing significant damage and generating bonus health.

  • The more enemies hit, the more health Venom gains.

  • Best used as an initiation tool or in the midst of a fight to turn the tide.

Symbiotic Resilience (E)

Generates bonus health proportional to damage taken.

  • The lower Venom’s health, the stronger the shield.

  • Helps Venom stay alive longer in drawn-out fights.

Wall Crawl (Passive)

Venom can crawl and run along walls.

  • Provides access to high ground and ambush opportunities.

How to Play Venom

Dive and Disrupt

  • Use Venom Swing to dive into the backline.

  • Follow with Feast of the Abyss to damage and gain bonus health.

  • Slow enemies with Cellular Corrosion while using Dark Predation to finish them off.

Survive with Symbiotic Resilience

  • Activate Symbiotic Resilience when you’re low on health to gain a large shield.

  • Don’t delay using it—timing is key to staying alive.

Use Feast of the Abyss Strategically

  • Save your ultimate for when enemies are grouped together.

  • It’s not only a damage tool but also a way to gain a massive health boost.

Control the Battlefield

  • Use Wall Crawl to position yourself on high ground or flank unsuspecting enemies.

  • Plan your dives carefully by observing enemy positions.

Balance Aggression and Safety

  • Don’t overcommit. If a dive goes poorly, use Venom Swing to retreat.

  • Coordinate with your team to maximize impact.

Venom Tips

  1. Cooldown Management: Venom’s abilities have long cooldowns. Use them wisely and avoid wasting them.

  2. Target Priority: Focus on squishy backline characters like healers or damage dealers.

  3. Avoid Over-Diving: Diving too deep can isolate you from your team’s support.

  4. Farm Ultimate: Use Dark Predation to poke and charge your ultimate faster.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • High durability through shields and bonus health.

  • Excellent at disrupting enemy formations.

  • Strong mobility for both engaging and escaping.

Weaknesses

  • Predictable dive patterns make him vulnerable to counterplay.

  • Relies heavily on cooldowns—vulnerable without them.

  • Overcommitting can leave your team exposed.
