For players who prefer slinking through the shadows rather than clanking around in full plate, it looks like stealth gear in KCD2 has been updated with the most recent patch/update. Some outfits have new names, some have stat adjustments, and a few new pieces have been found (so far…). If you’re building a sneaky Henry, here’s what you need to know.
Stealth Gear Name Changes & New Additions
Players have reported several name changes and stealth gear updates, most of which make it easier to blend in at night while keeping conspicuousness and noise to a minimum.
Renamed Items:
Black Hunting Variant → Thief’s Coat
Black Cleric’s Hood → Thief’s Hood
Black Aketon → Robber Baron’s Aketon
Some Quilted/Light Armors → Now labeled with “- black” (e.g., Quilted Caftan – Black)
New/Updated Stealth Gear:
Short Pourpoint – Black – Found at tailors, this has greatly reduced conspicuousness, noise, and visibility, making it one of the best stealth-friendly torso pieces. It sacrifices 1-3 defense points but is lighter than other pourpoints.
Pickpocket’s Tunic – Previously just Tunic, now seemingly designed for silent operators.
Pickpocket Gloves – Found on a bandit near the big pond in Trosky. No word yet on if these improve pickpocketing, but at least they fit the theme.
Thief’s Cap & Gloves – No confirmed location yet, but they exist somewhere.
Where to Find the New Stealth Gear
Thief’s Coat – Some players loaded into the game already owning it under its old name (Hunting Coat). Others have bought it from tailors in Kuttenberg.
Pickpocket Gloves – Found on a bandit near the big pond in Trosky. If you don’t see them, try looting more bandits (or, you know, be the bandit).
Short Pourpoint – Black – Available at tailors, though stock may vary.
Pickpocket’s Tunic – Unclear where it spawns, but it’s been found in player inventories post-patch.
More Stealth Gear? – Some players are murdering their way through Trosky to see what else might be out there. Results are… ongoing, but we’ll update when we can find out more information.
What Does This Mean for Stealth Players?
Darker clothing is getting better stealth stats, making it easier to sneak at night.
Some renamed items seem to be official stealth versions of previous gear.
Tailors and traders in Kuttenberg are selling updated versions of stealth gear, meaning sneaky players might want to check their stock.
More stealth armor may still be undiscovered, so keep looting and reporting your findings.
Final Blurb
If you enjoy stealing, sneaking, and avoiding fights, these new and updated stealth pieces make KCD2 even better for shadowy playstyles, and obviously there is still some more to figure out.
If you find more stealth armor changes, be sure to spread the word—but, of course, please be sure that you do it quietly.
