Palworld Pure Quartz 1.0 Location & Coordinates

Palworld Pure Quartz 1.0 Location and Coordinates

Pure Quartz becomes important just as Palworld starts shifting from basic survival equipment into powered production, Circuit Boards, and more advanced structures. The material is concentrated in several widely separated deposits, however, and the best place to visit depends on whether you need one quick stack or a location that can support an automated mining base.

Best Pure Quartz Location in Palworld 1.0

The best overall Pure Quartz location is around -211, 252, west of the Unthawable Lake fast-travel point in the Astral Mountains. The center of the deposit cluster may appear closer to -199, 249 depending on where you place the map marker, but both coordinates lead to the same elevated mining area.

This location contains approximately nine Pure Quartz deposits and one regular Ore node, giving it enough density to justify a permanent mining base. The additional Ore deposit also keeps the site useful when your immediate Quartz demand begins to slow down.

The terrain is elevated and somewhat uneven, so walk around the hill before placing the Palbox. The deposits need to remain inside the blue base boundary, and workers should have enough room to reach each node without falling down the slope or becoming trapped below the base.

Walls along the steeper edges can help keep Mining and Transporting Pals within the working area. The location has excellent output, but it loses much of that advantage when half the workforce is standing at the bottom of the hill reconsidering its career choices.

All Pure Quartz Locations and Coordinates

Coordinates Location Type Best For
-211, 252 Large Astral Mountains cluster Best overall Pure Quartz mining base
290, -100 Deposit outside the main snow biome Early collection without heavy cold preparation
-253, 394 Dense snowy deposit cluster Manual mining runs and secondary base options
-134, 575 Northern Astral Mountains cluster Defensible permanent mining outpost
-420, 461 Pristine Snow Field cluster Quiet base with fewer nearby enemies

The coordinates mark the general center of each deposit group rather than the exact position of every individual node. Once you reach the area, circle the surrounding terrain and look for several dark crystalline rocks grouped together before deciding where to place a Palbox.

Pure Quartz Location Outside the Snow Biome

The easiest Pure Quartz deposit to reach without committing to the Astral Mountains is located around 290, -100. This spot sits outside the main snowy region and is the better option when you need an initial supply but do not yet have enough cold resistance for a longer northern expedition.

It does not match the major snowfield clusters for total output, so it is better treated as a collection stop than the foundation of a dedicated Quartz base. Mine the available deposits, use the material for your first Circuit Boards or progression requirements, and return to one of the larger Astral Mountains locations once your equipment improves.

This location is also useful when you only need a small top-up. Changing armor, accessories, and travel plans for a full tundra run makes little sense when the missing recipe requires only a modest amount of Pure Quartz.

Which Pure Quartz Location Should You Use?

Use -211, 252 if you want the strongest permanent farming location. Its large Quartz cluster and additional Ore deposit make it the best choice for an automated outpost that will remain productive across several crafting tiers.

Use 290, -100 if you need Quartz before you are prepared for the Astral Mountains. The lower environmental requirement makes it the easiest first destination, even though the location cannot compete with the major northern clusters for volume.

Use -253, 394 for direct manual farming. The grouped deposits make it a convenient stop when you intend to mine the nodes yourself, fill your inventory, and leave rather than maintaining another staffed base.

Use -134, 575 if defense matters more than flat terrain. The northern cluster has a more limited approach, which can make raids easier to control than at an open mining site.

Use -420, 461 if you want a quieter outpost. The Pristine Snow Field location contains fewer deposits than the largest sites, but enemies and wild Pals are less likely to interrupt production.

A smaller base that operates consistently can outperform a larger one where workers are repeatedly distracted, blocked, or pulled into combat. Node count matters, but only when the Pals assigned to those nodes can actually reach them.

What Pure Quartz Deposits Look Like

Pure Quartz appears as a jagged dark rock containing bright, reflective crystal sections. The deposits are easy to distinguish in the Astral Mountains because the black stone contrasts sharply against the surrounding snow.

Regular Ore deposits have a browner metallic appearance, while Pure Quartz looks darker and more crystalline. When approaching from the air, look for clusters of black rocks rather than isolated patches of exposed ground.

A flying mount makes the search considerably faster because you can inspect hills and plateaus before landing. The Palworld 1.0 flying mounts list covers stronger travel options if your current mount struggles with longer trips into the northern map.

How Much Cold Resistance You Need

The major Pure Quartz clusters are located in one of Palworld’s coldest regions. Bring cold-resistant armor and enough additional protection to handle the temperature dropping further after sunset.

Some parts of the Astral Mountains require roughly Level 2 Cold Resistance during the day and Level 3 at night. Carrying a thermal accessory alongside cold-resistant armor gives you more freedom to remain in the area rather than abandoning the route as soon as conditions worsen.

The region is also populated by Pals well above the starting-area level range. Correct environmental gear prevents cold damage, but it does not protect you from the enemies surrounding the deposits, so bring a developed team and repair your equipment before traveling north.

Unlock the nearest fast-travel point before filling your inventory. Pure Quartz is heavy enough that a full manual run can quickly become an encumbrance problem, and a nearby teleport is considerably more useful than another scenic flight across the tundra.

How to Build a Pure Quartz Mining Base

Choose the Palbox position before placing any permanent structures. Stand near the center of the deposits, preview the base boundary, and confirm that each important Quartz node sits inside the circle.

Pure Quartz requires workers with at least Level 3 Mining. A large cluster can support approximately four to six capable miners, although the final number should depend on how quickly the deposits are being cleared and whether workers are spending time on unrelated jobs.

Transporting Pals are equally important because mined Quartz remains on the ground until something moves it into storage. Use workers with at least Level 3 Transporting when possible and place several containers close to the largest deposit groups.

Base Element Recommended Setup
Mining Four to six Pals with Mining Level 3 or higher
Transporting Enough workers to prevent Quartz from accumulating on the ground
Storage Chests positioned beside or between the mining nodes
Food Feed Box with automated plantations
Recovery Beds and Hot Springs placed away from the main work lanes

Keep the center of the base open enough for workers to move between deposits and storage. Beds and Hot Springs can sit near the outer edge because Pals use them less frequently than the paths connecting mining nodes, food, and containers.

Anubis is useful at a Quartz outpost because it can mine, transport, and help with construction or crafting. The Palworld 1.0 Anubis breeding guide covers the early route for obtaining one through Penking and Bushi.

Generating Electricity and Handiwork workers are optional unless you plan to process materials at the same location. If the base includes powered production lines, the Palworld 1.0 Orserk location guide explains where to find one of the strongest electricity workers after its 1.0 location change.

The best base locations in Palworld 1.0 also compares broader resource and production sites if you are deciding whether Quartz deserves an entire Palbox slot.

When to Replace Wild Deposits With the Pure Quartz Mine

The Pure Quartz Mine unlocks at Level 50 and costs five Ancient Technology Points. Building it requires 70 Stone, 100 Pure Quartz, and 30 Paldium Fragments.

This gives your first Quartz expedition a useful target. Collect at least 100 Pure Quartz from wild deposits, unlock the structure, and then move production to a base with better terrain, weather, and supporting infrastructure.

A natural-node outpost can still produce additional Quartz alongside the constructed mine, especially if you have spare base capacity. It becomes less essential, however, once the resource can be generated somewhere that does not require cold resistance or constant trips into the Astral Mountains.

The -211, 252 location remains useful because of its additional Ore node, while a Quartz-only base with difficult terrain may no longer justify its workers after the permanent structure becomes available.

Which Pals Drop Pure Quartz?

Pure Quartz can drop from Astegon, Frostallion Noct, Jetragon, Neptilius, and Pierdon Cryst. These drops provide an additional source while capturing or defeating those Pals, but none offers the consistency of mining a dense deposit cluster.

Several of the relevant Pals are powerful or tied to later progression, so hunting them specifically for Quartz usually consumes more time and resources than a direct mining run. Treat the material as a useful bonus when you already need the Pal rather than building your entire farming route around its drop table.

Where Should You Farm Pure Quartz First?

Start at 290, -100 if your character is not yet equipped for the Astral Mountains. It provides enough Quartz to begin working toward Circuit Boards and other advanced recipes without requiring a full set of cold-resistant equipment.

Once you can operate safely in the snow, move to -211, 252 for the strongest combination of Quartz density and long-term base value. The other northern coordinates provide useful alternatives when you prefer easier defense, quieter surroundings, or a simpler manual route.

After collecting the 100 Quartz needed for the Level 50 Pure Quartz Mine, decide whether maintaining a permanent snow outpost still benefits the rest of your production network. The resource starts in the tundra, but it does not have to keep you there forever.
