R.E.P.O. Explosive Mine Guide: How It Works

The Explosive Mine in R.E.P.O. is exactly what it sounds like—a chunk of destruction that can make you rich or turn you into a crime scene. It's worth anywhere between $3,000 and $9,000, but only if you manage to get it out without stepping on it and evaporating.

How the Explosive Mine Works

  • Tap E to activate it. Instant regret button.

  • After 5 seconds, it arms itself. That’s your cue to leave.

  • If someone (or something) steps on it, BOOM—200 damage. Spoiler: That’s a lot.

  • 20-meter blast radius. Which means if it goes off, you’re bringing friends with you.

Since this thing is valuable (and deadly), you probably don’t want to test its effectiveness on yourself. Here’s how to loot it without becoming a statistic:

  1. DO NOT press E immediately like an overexcited fool. If it’s already armed, congratulations, you just armed a bomb while standing next to it.

  2. Press E again to disarm it. If you do this correctly, you’ll live.

  3. Once disarmed, pick it up and place it in your cart. No sudden movements. No “accidental” button presses.

  4. Get it to extraction and cash in. Ideally, in one piece.

Fun Ways to Use an Explosive Mine (Not Recommended, But Hilarious)

  • Drop it at extraction and watch the panic.

  • Lead an enemy straight into it.

  • Place it in a high-traffic area and observe.

  • Step on it just to see what happens (Spoiler: You explode).

Final Blurb

The Explosive Mine is one of the more “exciting” valuables in R.E.P.O., but if you handle it correctly, it’s free money. Just remember: one wrong step and you’re getting launched into orbit.
