Split Fiction: The Mysterious Roulette Wheel

Image Credit: Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction

As you leave the Monkey King’s realm, you’ll stumble upon a strange little corner. There’s a slot machine that spits out bananas (because why not?) and a roulette wheel that seems important… but isn’t.

You might think this roulette wheel hides some secret puzzle or game mechanic. Maybe spinning it correctly unlocks a hidden path, or maybe landing on the right number gives you a reward. Nope. It does nothing.

Go ahead, spin it. Watch it land on a random number. Feel the disappointment settle in. That’s it. That’s the whole experience. The wheel exists purely for fun—or to mess with players who overthink things.

Once you’ve come to terms with that, move on to the actual puzzle.

What You Should Actually Do

  • Ape-Mio breaks a dome of vines to let Pixie-Zoe drift through.

  • Treant-Zoe moves a pillar so Ape-Mio can jump over icy spikes.

  • Push through the door to reach the Ice King’s castle.

At the entrance, you’ll find a real puzzle involving a locked door and a four-symbol code. That’s where you actually need to focus. The roulette wheel? Just a beautifully pointless distraction.
