In Void Crew keeping your ship in good shape is key to staying alive. Damage will happen, but knowing how to fix it can save you and your crew. Here’s a simple guide on how to repair your ship.
Types of Damage and How to Fix Them
Small Hull Cracks
These are little holes or breaks in the ship’s walls. Here’s how to fix them:Look for cracks—they’re easy to spot.
Go up to the damaged area and press the interact button to seal it.
Big Hull Breaches
Larger holes in the ship need special tools to repair.Go to the Fabricator (a machine on your ship that makes items) and create a Hull Repair Plate.
Pick up the repair plate.
Carry it to the damaged spot and press the interact button to patch the breach.
How to Make Hull Repair Plates
Hull Repair Plates are necessary for fixing big damage. Here’s how to make them:
Go to the Fabricator on your ship.
Check that you have enough Alloys (a resource used for crafting).
Select the Hull Repair Plate blueprint and start crafting.
Once it’s made, grab the plate, and you’re ready to repair.
What Repairs Can’t Do
Hull repairs won’t fully restore the ship’s health. They only patch up the damage enough to keep the ship running. Because of this, avoid taking damage whenever possible.
Fixing Damage Outside the Ship
Sometimes, you’ll need to repair damage on the outside of the ship. This is called EVA (Extra-Vehicular Activity).
Put on the EVA Jetpack in the Airlock.
Follow safety steps to open the Airlock and avoid losing oxygen.
Fly outside to the damaged area and fix it.
Once done, return to the ship quickly.
Tip: Never go outside during a Void Jump (when your ship is traveling through the Void). It’s an instant death!
Managing Your Repair Materials
To repair your ship, you’ll need materials like:
Alloys: Gathered from space debris or crafted on the ship.
Biomass: Collected from missions and used to power the ship’s healing systems.
Make sure to save and use these resources wisely.
