Elderberry Leaves. Sounds like the kind of thing you’d find growing on a random bush, right? Well, not in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Unlike other herbs, these leaves are hard to come by and won’t just appear in the wild. Instead, the only reliable way to get them involves a little sneaking, some lockpicking, and possibly a bit of trespassing.
Where to Find Elderberry Leaves
The best place to get Elderberry Leaves is inside Trosky Castle. You won’t find them growing in fields, and apothecaries are not exactly handing them out like marigold. If you need them, here’s what to do.
Head to Trosky Castle and make your way to the northern side. Near the castle wall, there is a wooden house. The leaves are inside, but of course, someone thought it was a good idea to lock them away.
Before heading there, bring lockpicks because the box containing the Elderberry Leaves is locked. The door to the house might also be locked, depending on your timing.
How to Get (Steal) Elderberry Leaves Without Getting Caught
Since this is a not-so-legal method of acquiring them, stealth is the best approach.
It is best to wait until nightfall when the people inside are asleep. This makes it easier to slip in without anyone noticing.
Carefully pick the door’s lock if necessary, and once inside, go to the second door on the left. The box containing the Elderberry Leaves is in this room, and the lock is not too difficult to pick.
Once the box is open, grab the Elderberry Leaves along with anything else useful. Then, get out before anyone notices.
Worth the Trouble Getting Elderberry Leaves?
If you need Elderberry Leaves for alchemy or quests, this is your best option. It takes a bit of effort, but if you bring lockpicks and stay quiet, you will walk away with exactly what you need. Just remember—you technically committed a crime for some leaves. Hope they were worth it.
