WWE 2K25 Crossplay Explained for PC and Console

Wondering if WWE 2K25 supports cross-play and cross-progression? The short answer is yes—but with a few strings attached. Here’s a simple breakdown so you know exactly what works (and what doesn’t).

Is WWE 2K25 Cross-Play?

Yes, WWE 2K25 supports cross-play, but it’s not cross-generation. This means:

  • PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players can play together.

  • PS4, Xbox One, and PC players can play together.

  • You cannot play between PS5 and PS4 or Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

  • PC is treated like a last-gen console, so it only connects with PS4 and Xbox One players.

If you’re trying to fight someone using a different console generation, you’re out of luck—unless you both own the same-gen version.

Is WWE 2K25 Cross-Progression?

Yes, but only within the same console family. Here's how it works:

  • PS5 to PS4 (and vice versa): Progress carries over.

  • Xbox Series X|S to Xbox One (and back): Progress carries over.

  • PC to consoles: No cross-progression.

  • DLC and some content do not transfer between generations (for example, from PS4 to PS5).

Also, Community Creations (custom superstars, etc.) are not shareable between generations, so don’t expect to upload on PS5 and download on PS4.

Current Issues

As of now, some players report cross-play isn’t working at launch. The official page confirming cross-play was also quietly taken down. It’s unclear if this was a mistake or if cross-play was removed last minute. Updates are expected, but things are a bit murky right now.

Final Blurb

WWE 2K25 does offer cross-play and cross-progression, but only within limits. Make sure you and your friends are on the same generation—or be ready to hear a lot of "Incompatible Version" messages. If everything lines up, you’re good to go. If not, better luck next match.
