Here’s a simple rundown of all the game modes available in WWE 2K25:

The Island

This is brand new and only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It’s a WWE-themed open hub where you walk around, take on quests, fight in live events, and level up your custom wrestler, called your MySUPERSTAR. The goal is to climb the ranks and try to earn your spot next to Roman Reigns as part of “The Original Tribal Chief” storyline. It’s like WWE meets an RPG, with lots of brawling and unlocking stuff.

Showcase Mode: The Bloodline’s Dynasty

Hosted by Paul Heyman, this mode focuses on Roman Reigns and his famous wrestling family. You get to relive big matches from The Rock, Yokozuna, and more—or change history by flipping the result. Some matches actually never happened, which is why they added fun fantasy matchups, too. There are lots of rewards, so it’s worth playing through.

MyRISE

This year’s MyRISE has one story that includes both a male and female wrestler. You control both and follow a storyline where Bayley, Kevin Owens, and others are trying to take over WWE. You’ll fight in locker rooms, parking lots, and other wild places, while unlocking characters and arenas. Plus, there are side stories where you team up with people like Jey Uso and Seth Rollins.

MyGM Mode

In MyGM, you run a WWE brand by drafting Superstars and booking weekly shows. For the first time, you can now play this online with friends, with up to four players competing at once. If someone leaves, the CPU can take over their show. Just note—custom GMs and rosters are only for offline play. But there are more GMs, cross-brand events, and options than ever.

Universe Mode

This is the classic sandbox mode where you control everything—rivalries, alliances, and chaos across all brands. Promos are finally back, with multiple types and outcomes. You also get new cutscenes and branching choices to make things feel more real. If you want full control, this is your mode.

New Match Types & Gameplay

WWE 2K25 adds intergender wrestling, so men and women can now face off in any mode. New match types like Underground, Bloodline Rules, Gauntlet, and Gauntlet Eliminator are here too. And yes, chain wrestling and barricade dives are back if you missed them.

Massive Roster

There are over 300 characters this year. From current stars like Seth Rollins and CM Punk to legends like The Rock and Undertaker, the roster covers every generation. You’ll also see newcomers like Jade Cargill and Jacob Fatu.

Arenas

You’ll fight in rings from all across WWE history, like WrestleMania, RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and even WCW. If you’ve seen it on TV, it’s probably in the game.

Final Blurb

WWE 2K25 gives you more game modes than ever before. Whether you’re managing a brand, rewriting history, or just trying to slam someone into a barricade, there’s a mode that lets you do it.
