Dimraeth How to Build a Tent
One of Dimraeth's first camp objectives asks you to build a tent for Faustas, but the game drops you into the Sanctum without necessarily making the intended source of your building materials obvious. You don't need to immediately leave the area and start searching the world for everything on the recipe.
The ruined camp around you is the important part. By dismantling what's already there, you can recover materials and turn the remains of the old camp into the beginning of your own.

How to Build a Tent in Dimraeth
To build a tent in Dimraeth, enter build mode while you're at the Sanctum and dismantle the ruined structures around Faustas's old camp. Take the recovered materials, select the tent from the build menu, and place it within the Sanctum camp area.
I'd salvage the camp before doing any additional gathering. It's easy to see all of the broken structures as scenery and assume the quest is sending you out to collect a fresh batch of resources, but they're actually useful building material sitting directly beside your objective.
Once you've dismantled the obvious ruins, open the tent recipe again. If you're still missing something, the build menu will show what you actually need, and you can gather the remaining shortage rather than leaving the Sanctum with no idea what you're looking for.
Dismantle the Old Camp Before Gathering Materials
The most useful trick for this objective is to think of dismantling as part of the quest rather than optional base cleanup. Enter build mode, target the ruined structures around the camp, and use the dismantle action shown for your current controls.
This does two things at once: it clears space for the camp you're about to build and recovers reusable materials for the new structures. Instead of gathering first and cleaning later, you're effectively recycling the old Sanctum camp into the new one.
I also wouldn't rely too heavily on a specific dismantle key if you've changed your bindings or you're playing with a controller. Watch the build-mode prompt shown on screen when targeting a structure and use the listed dismantle input. Once you've recovered what the ruins provide, check the tent's requirements again before collecting anything else.
That order saves unnecessary gathering. Salvage first, check what's missing second, and only then leave to find additional materials if the recipe still has a shortage.
You Also Need to Build the Small Campfire
Placing the tent is only part of Faustas's camp objective. You also need to build a small campfire in the Sanctum.
This is an easy place to think the quest has failed to update because the objective begins with the tent, but shelter alone isn't the finished camp. Return to the build menu, select the small campfire, and place that as well.
The campfire becomes useful beyond satisfying the immediate objective, so I would position the tent and fire somewhere convenient rather than scattering the two structures simply to get the quest done. This is the beginning of the Sanctum's utility as your home base, and the campfire can be used for early supplies such as water and cooked items afterward.
What to Do If the Build a Tent Quest Is Stuck
If you've already built the tent and nothing is happening, check the entire objective rather than repeatedly moving or rebuilding it. Make sure you're working inside the Sanctum camp area and confirm that both the tent and the small campfire have been placed.
Then go back to Faustas.
The important distinction is that placing the structures doesn't replace the next conversation. Once the camp is set up, speak with Faustas again to continue the objective and move progression toward Earlwood.
If it still hasn't advanced, I'd check the tracked objective before dismantling anything you've just built. If the tent is present, the small campfire is present, and Faustas hasn't been spoken to since you finished them, the likely missing step is progression rather than another resource requirement.
The broader lesson is useful for the rest of the Sanctum as well. Don't automatically go gathering every time a build recipe appears. Dimraeth lets existing structures and recovered materials contribute to what you're building next, so checking what can be dismantled before starting another resource run can save a surprising amount of unnecessary work.
