Enshrouded How to Delete Worlds
Removing old worlds in Enshrouded should let you organize your saves before starting another adventure. However, a world-management bug can leave the Edit button unresponsive, blocking access to deletion and renaming. If your old worlds remain after deleting a character, check the editing issue before making further changes to your saves.

Open the World’s Edit Menu to Remove It
Select the unwanted world in your world list and open Edit to access its management options. If the button does not respond, open Adventure Sharing, subscribe to any shared adventure, then return to your own world and try Edit again.
The subscription workaround may restore access to the menu so you can proceed with deleting the selected world. Check the world’s name carefully before completing the deletion, especially if you have several similarly named saves.
You do not need a particular shared adventure. The workaround calls for subscribing to any available entry and then retrying your own world’s Edit button.
This addresses the editing bug introduced in hotfix 1.0.0.1. It is a temporary workaround rather than a normal requirement for managing worlds. If Edit already opens, there is no reason to subscribe to an adventure just to remove a save.
Try the Editing Workaround Before Recovering an Old Character
Deleting a character before attempting to remove its world can make the two events appear connected. However, an unresponsive Edit button alone does not establish that the missing character is responsible. The same issue has affected new installations and worlds whose creators are still available.
Try restoring menu access before pursuing character recovery. This directly addresses the identified editing problem without requiring further changes to your characters.
Worlds that cannot be renamed may be affected by the same bug. If both naming and deletion are blocked, test the Adventure Sharing workaround before troubleshooting each symptom separately.
Keep World Cleanup Separate From Clearing All Save Data
Removing entire save folders can affect more than the world you want gone. Clearing everything from Enshrouded’s Steam save folder can also remove characters and in-game settings.
Use the in-game management options when you can restore access to them. If you investigate manual removal instead, back up your saves first and do not delete individual files unless you have identified which ones belong to the unwanted world.
If the temporary workaround fails, leave the save intact while waiting for a fix rather than deleting broad folders simply to make an entry disappear. That preserves your other progress while the world-management issue remains unresolved.
