Moon Sweepers Pressure Chamber Guide

The Pressure Chamber in Moon Sweepers converts regular Moon Dust into Moon Sand, a processed material with a higher selling value. It costs $500, requires 10 kW of power, and can process up to 5 kg of dust every 12 seconds.

To use it, connect a conveyor carrying dust to the chamber's input, provide enough electricity, and connect another conveyor to its output. The most important detail is the machine's direction: dust enters from the side without the handle.

How to Use the Pressure Chamber in Moon Sweepers

The Pressure Chamber is a processing machine, not a cleaning machine. You'll need another source of Moon Dust, such as a Packager, Robot Vacuum dock, or vehicle unloading system, to supply it.

Once you've purchased the $500 machine through the Building Tool, choose a location with space for an incoming conveyor, an outgoing conveyor, and nearby power equipment.

Pressure Chamber Setup:
  1. Purchase and place the Pressure Chamber for $500.
  2. Find the machine's input, located on the side without the handle.
  3. Connect a conveyor carrying Moon Dust capsules to that input.
  4. Connect another conveyor to the chamber's output for the finished Moon Sand.
  5. Supply at least 10 kW of operating power.
  6. Send a small amount of Moon Dust into the machine.
  7. Wait for the chamber to process the dust and release Moon Sand through its output.

For a basic setup, the material should move through the following stages:

Dust Collection → Conveyor → Pressure Chamber → Conveyor → Selling or Further Processing

Start with a short conveyor connection rather than building a complicated production line immediately. Watching a single capsule enter and leave the chamber makes it easier to confirm that everything works.

Does the Pressure Chamber Need a Packager?

Not necessarily. The Packager is useful when you want to send manually collected dust into a conveyor system, but Robot Vacuum docks already produce dust capsules that can feed directly into a Pressure Chamber.

If you're cleaning with a brush, a Packager can supply the input conveyor. If you're using Robot Vacuums, you can connect their existing capsule outputs instead.

The Pressure Chamber only needs a supply of dust capsules, sufficient electricity, and somewhere for its processed material to go.

How Much Power Does the Pressure Chamber Need?

A Pressure Chamber requires 10 kW of power to operate. Connecting it to a conveyor without supplying electricity won't start production.

Basic Solar Posts produce 3 kW each under suitable conditions. Three Solar Posts provide only 9 kW, which is below the Pressure Chamber's requirement.

You'll therefore need at least four basic Solar Posts for 12 kW of nominal generation, assuming they're supplying power normally and no other machinery is using that electricity.

Alternatively, two Solar Twin (M) units provide a combined nominal output of 15 kW.

These figures represent generation capacity, not guaranteed uninterrupted power. Solar output changes with sunlight, and a factory may need stored energy to keep running when generation drops.

If your chamber works during the day but stops later, inspect the power network's battery level and total demand before replacing any machinery.

What Does the Pressure Chamber Make?

The Pressure Chamber turns Moon Dust into Moon Sand. According to its listed machine values, Moon Sand sells for three times the unit value of ordinary Moon Dust.

Its processing capacity is up to 5 kg every 12 seconds, equivalent to a theoretical 25 kg of input dust per minute if the machine stays continuously supplied and powered.

However, that doesn't guarantee three times the money per minute. The amount of material converted, processing time, and how successfully your system sells the resulting Moon Sand all affect actual earnings.

Players have also reported inconsistencies with automatic selling of processed materials. Test one small batch and check the payout before committing all your dust production to Moon Sand.

Can You Use Moon Sand to Make Moonstone?

Yes. Moon Sand is also an ingredient used by the Stone Press, which combines Moon Dust and Moon Sand to produce Moonstone.

If you're planning to add a Stone Press later, make sure some of your incoming Moon Dust bypasses the Pressure Chamber. The Stone Press needs both materials, so converting every capsule into Moon Sand would leave it without its raw-dust ingredient.

For now, a single Pressure Chamber is enough to learn how processing works before investing in more expensive production equipment.

Moon Sweepers Pressure Chamber Not Working Fix

If the Pressure Chamber isn't producing Moon Sand, check whether the failure happens before the dust enters, during processing, or after the finished material comes out.

Problem What to Check
Dust won't enter the chamber Make sure the conveyor connects to the side without the handle.
Dust enters but nothing happens Check that the machine has at least 10 kW of available power.
Production stops at night Inspect battery charge and solar generation.
Moon Sand isn't leaving Check the output conveyor and any downstream blockage.
Moon Sand arrives but no money appears Check the receiving intake and confirm the processed material is actually being sold.
Pressure Chamber won't fit on foundations Install Patch 1.0.3 or later and check the available placement space.
Dust capsules pile up at the entrance Check power, input direction, and whether the chamber is already processing at capacity.

Check the Input Direction First

The easiest mistake is placing the Pressure Chamber backward. Its input is on the side without the handle, so a conveyor connected to the opposite end won't feed dust into the machine correctly.

If capsules stop directly outside the chamber, inspect that connection before buying extra power equipment.

Check the Output Before Building Another Chamber

A chamber that has finished processing but can't release Moon Sand may stop accepting additional material. Follow the output conveyor to see whether capsules are blocked farther down the line.

Only consider purchasing a second Pressure Chamber when the first is powered, processing normally, and consistently receiving more dust than it can handle.

Fix Pressure Chamber Foundation Placement

Some players encountered placement problems because the Pressure Chamber was too large for their foundation layout.

Moon Sweepers Patch 1.0.3 added support for machinery, including Pressure Chambers, spanning multiple foundations. Make sure your game is updated if you can't place the chamber across connected foundation pieces.

Otherwise, try placing it on clear, level ground with enough space for both conveyor connections.

Is the Pressure Chamber Worth Buying?

The Pressure Chamber is worth considering once you've established a steady supply of Moon Dust and have enough money for its power requirements.

At $500, it offers a way to process raw dust into a more valuable material and prepares your operation for later Moonstone production.

However, if you're still struggling to transport dust to your base or can't afford sufficient electricity, improving your existing collection and conveyor system should come first.

A working Pressure Chamber needs more than the machine itself. Make sure dust enters correctly, electricity stays available, and the finished Moon Sand reaches a usable destination before expanding production.
