The shop in Queen's Domain isn't available immediately, and you won't find it by searching the starting island. You must defeat the first boss to unlock Umbada's Trading Outpost, where you can buy weapons, supplies, and upgrades using Ancient Coins.

Queen's Domain Shop Location: How to Unlock Umbada's Trading Outpost
To unlock the shop in Queen's Domain, you need to defeat the Shrine Guardian, the first major boss on the Isle of Neasied.
Defeating the boss rewards you with the Stone Duck Figurine, which provides access to Umbada's Trading Outpost.
Here's how to reach the shop for the first time:
- Progress through the Isle of Neasied until you reach the Shrine Guardian at the Endu Shrine.
- Defeat the Shrine Guardian and collect the Stone Duck Figurine.
- Return to a Crystal Monument after the fight.
- You'll automatically be transported to Umbada's Trading Outpost on your next visit to a Crystal Monument.
- Speak with Umbada to purchase items or sell treasures for Ancient Coins.
The important detail is that the shop is accessed through Crystal Monuments rather than by finding a separate storefront along the island's paths.
If you've been exploring the starting area looking for a merchant, you can stop searching. Defeating the Shrine Guardian is the requirement that unlocks access.
How to Return to the Shop in Queen's Domain
After your first visit, you can return to Umbada's Trading Outpost through any Crystal Monument.
Interact with a monument and select the Shop option to travel back to the merchant.
This makes it convenient to purchase supplies after exploring a new area or defeating a difficult enemy, since you don't need to repeatedly travel to a specific physical shop location.
Should You Save Before Visiting the Shop?
I'd recommend saving at the Crystal Monument whenever you've made significant progress.
Queen's Domain doesn't use automatic checkpoints, so dying can send you back to your most recent manual save.
Resting at a monument also restores your health and removes negative status effects, but it respawns enemies. Saving alone doesn't require you to reset the surrounding encounters.

Best Items to Buy First in Queen's Domain
Once Umbada's Trading Outpost is unlocked, you'll have several options for spending your Ancient Coins.
I'd prioritize permanent equipment upgrades over buying large quantities of consumables, provided you have enough healing supplies to survive your next encounter.
These are some of the most useful purchases available with the initial Stone Duck Figurine unlock.
| Item | Cost | Why Buy It? |
|---|---|---|
| Protection Charm | 10 Coins | Increases damage resistance by 10%. |
| Strength Charm | 12 Coins | Increases Attack Power by approximately 10%. |
| Hand Axe | 20 Coins | Deals Slash and Impact damage. |
| Morning Star | 20 Coins | Combines Impact and Pierce damage. |
| Dried Herbs | 3 Coins | Restores 30 Life Points. |
| Panacea | 9 Coins | Removes all negative status effects. |
What Should You Buy With Your First Ancient Coins?
My first choice would be the Protection Charm for 10 Ancient Coins.
It improves your damage resistance without requiring you to change weapons or adjust how you fight, making it useful across many different encounters.
The Strength Charm is another good option if you already feel comfortable avoiding enemy attacks and want additional damage.
For weapons, I'd choose between the Hand Axe and Morning Star based on which damage types you're missing.
Queen's Domain enemies have different weaknesses and resistances, so carrying weapons that cover multiple damage types can be more useful than relying exclusively on one weapon with a high Power rating.
If you're short on healing supplies, however, purchasing a few Dried Herbs may be the more practical immediate decision.
How to Unlock More Shop Items in Queen's Domain
Umbada doesn't offer his complete inventory when you first arrive.
His stock expands as you progress through the game, including when you obtain additional Duck Figurines by defeating bosses. Discovering new throwing weapons can also unlock additional charges for purchase.
The Stone Duck Figurine opens the initial shop selection, while Silver and Golden Duck Figurines are associated with additional equipment and consumables.
Notable Items Unlocked Later
| Item | Unlock | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Diamond Blade | Silver Duck Figurine | 25 Coins |
| Spiked Buckler | Silver Duck Figurine | 33 Coins |
| Warding Amulet | Silver Duck Figurine | 20 Coins |
| Vampiric Scimitar | Golden Duck Figurine | 42 Coins |
| Occult Warhammer | Golden Duck Figurine | 30 Coins |
| Silver Bangle | Golden Duck Figurine | 35 Coins |
Of these later purchases, Spiked Buckler is especially appealing because it allows you to parry attacks and counterattack.
Vampiric Scimitar offers life-stealing attacks, while Silver Bangle reduces throwing weapon recharge times by approximately 20%.
Remember that shop inventory isn't unlimited. Most weapons and accessories have limited stock, while many healing items can be purchased repeatedly.
How to Get Ancient Coins for Umbada's Shop
Ancient Coins are the currency used at Umbada's Trading Outpost. You can find them while exploring, receive them from defeated enemies, or earn them by selling certain treasures.
There are three main ways to build up your coin supply:
- Defeat enemies that drop Ancient Coins.
- Search pots and treasure chests while exploring.
- Sell Treasure items to Umbada.
Sell Treasure Items Instead of Leaving Them Unused
Some items you collect have no obvious purpose when you first discover them, but are classified as Treasure and can be sold to Umbada.
For example, the Filthy Loot Sack dropped by Star Lizards on the Isle of Neasied sells for 7 Ancient Coins.
Other Star Lizard variants drop their own treasures, including Rancid, Moldy, and Waxy Loot Sacks, with different selling values.
Each individual Treasure can only be sold once. After selling it, the item appears on the shelves behind Umbada, providing a visual record of your discoveries.
That makes selling Treasure items a useful source of coins during exploration, but not an unlimited farming method.
Can You Farm Ancient Coins?
Yes. Defeating enemies that drop Ancient Coins is the more repeatable option once you've already collected nearby treasures.
Enemies respawn after resting at a Crystal Monument, allowing you to fight them again for additional drops.
Some containers may also respawn over time, although you shouldn't rely on previously opened treasure chests to provide unlimited currency.
I'd prioritize enemies you can defeat consistently without spending too many healing supplies. An encounter that costs more in consumables than it rewards in coins isn't a particularly useful farming opportunity.
Once you've unlocked Umbada's Trading Outpost, the shop becomes an important part of progression rather than somewhere you visit only once. Return through Crystal Monuments when you need supplies, check for new inventory after major milestones, and spend your Ancient Coins on upgrades that address the problems you're actually facing.
