Best Route to 100% Completion in Clans of the Forest

We recommend treating your first Clan playthrough as your main exploration and collection run. You'll already be traveling through the territories for quests, so completing smaller objectives along the way saves you from revisiting areas just to find another tree, herb, or sunning spot.

Recommended 100% Completion Plan:
  1. First Clan: Advance the story, become a warrior, complete five side quests, and work toward becoming Clan leader.
  2. Explore With One Cat: Find the 16 sunning spots, climb 20 unique trees, and work toward discovering all 46 map locations.
  3. Collect Resources: Gather herbs, decorate your den, barter different items, and save up 99 Marigold.
  4. Finish Basic Combat Challenges: Earn instant animal KOs, sneak-attack pounces, herb-free wins, and forgiveness rewards.
  5. Complete the Remaining Clan Sagas: Unlock the other three story achievements while continuing your combat move and boss progress.
  6. Finish Advanced Objectives: Complete any remaining move unlocks, first-time boss defeats, and 20 Defender Mode victories.

You don't need to follow this order exactly, but keeping your exploration goals together makes them easier to track. We'd also avoid switching between multiple cats while working on Agile Cat and Sunbathing Pro, since both achievements explicitly require completing their objectives with a single character.

Achievements Worth Tracking From the Beginning

Some achievements are easy to leave until later. Others can become time-consuming if you overlook their conditions during your first few hours.

I'd keep a personal checklist for the following:

  • Agile Cat: Record which trees you've already climbed to avoid repeating the same ones.
  • Sunbathing Pro: Track discovered sunning spots on one character.
  • Resourceful Feline: Save Marigold instead of spending it whenever you return to camp.
  • Honorable Cat: Watch for opportunities to forgive defeated enemies.
  • King of the Forest: Keep track of first-time boss victories rather than repeatedly fighting familiar opponents.

These are the achievements most worth planning around. Story milestones can be handled through normal quest progression, but location and resource requirements are easier when you're already accounting for them.

Exploration and Collection Achievements Guide

Agile Cat, Sunbathing Pro, and Adventurous Soul

Three achievements reward exploring the Lake Territories, although their requirements aren't identical.

Agile Cat requires 20 different trees climbed by the same cat. Climbing one tree repeatedly won't satisfy the requirement, so look for new climbable trees as you move through each territory.

Sunbathing Pro requires discovering all 16 sunning spots with one cat. These locations are worth tracking as you find them, particularly when traveling through unfamiliar territory.

Adventurous Soul is the broader exploration achievement, requiring all 46 discoverable world-map locations. The game features six major regions, but those aren't the same as the 46 individual map discoveries required for the achievement.

Our recommendation is to choose one cat for your exploration goals and continue discovering locations whenever you travel between quests. This gives you a consistent way to track your discoveries while making progress toward all three achievements.

There's no need to rush through the entire map immediately. Completing nearby objectives while exploring new territory allows you to discover locations more naturally.

Resourceful Feline – How to Collect 99 Marigold

Resourceful Feline requires 99 Marigold in your inventory. This is different from simply collecting 99 over the course of your playthrough, since the achievement specifically mentions the amount held in your inventory.

Marigold can be collected while exploring the forest, but you'll want to avoid spending it until you've reached the required amount.

Resourceful Feline Tips:
  • Collect Marigold whenever you find it during exploration.
  • Keep the resource in your inventory instead of spending it immediately.
  • Use other available items for bartering or crafting when possible.
  • Continue gathering until your inventory contains 99 Marigold.

I'd work toward this during the first Clan Saga. You can continue completing quests and exploring while collecting Marigold, so there's little reason to dedicate a separate playthrough to the achievement.

Bartering Expert, Herb Gatherer, and Home Sweet Den

These three achievements are straightforward, but each requires variety rather than simply repeating one action.

Bartering Expert requires bartering ten different items. Trading the same resource repeatedly isn't the same as trading ten distinct items, so use a variety of available materials when working toward it.

Herb Gatherer requires collecting three different types of herbs. You don't need to gather every herb in the game, making it a relatively simple achievement to complete while exploring.

Home Sweet Den requires placing three different customization items in your personal den. Decorations can be crafted using resources collected throughout the territories, so save a few materials for your den instead of spending everything elsewhere.

Some crafting projects also have lengthy completion timers. Starting them before heading out on quests can be more convenient than waiting until you're ready to decorate.

Combat and Hunting Achievements Guide

Several achievements involve defeating enemies, but their conditions are specific. Normal victories, stealth attacks, instant animal KOs, and post-battle decisions don't all count toward the same objective.

First Fresh-Kill and Shadow Hunter

First Fresh-Kill requires instantly knocking out ten animals. Defeating animals through ordinary turn-based combat isn't necessarily the same as landing an instant KO, so pay attention to whether your attack defeats the target immediately.

Shadow Hunter requires landing ten sneak-attack pounces on enemies. To work toward this, approach targets while sneaking and use your pounce when you're close enough to initiate the attack.

You can practice sneak attacks during ordinary exploration, while animal hunting offers opportunities to work toward First Fresh-Kill.

We recommend treating the achievements separately until both are unlocked. An attack that starts a battle successfully won't necessarily count as an instant KO.

Generous Paw – Donate 50 Fresh-Kill

Generous Paw rewards you for contributing 50 fresh-kill to your Clan's communal food pile.

Rather than attempting to gather all 50 at once, bring prey back whenever you return from hunting or questing. The communal pile is also tied to Clan well-being, so keeping it supplied is useful beyond the achievement itself.

Hunting throughout your regular story progression should reduce how much additional prey you need to collect later.

Honorable Cat and Territory Defender

To earn Honorable Cat, forgive three enemies after defeating them. Certain encounters allow you to decide what happens to an opponent after a victory, so watch for the option to show mercy.

For Territory Defender, you need three enemy victories within your own Clan's territory. You can work toward this while completing quests or dealing with hostile enemies near your home territory.

When a suitable fight presents an opportunity for mercy afterward, you may be able to make progress toward both objectives during the same encounter.

First Aid and Unyielding Warrior

These two achievements encourage opposite approaches to healing.

First Aid requires five successful herb applications to heal your cat. Use healing herbs when you've taken damage and need to recover during combat.

Unyielding Warrior requires winning five encounters without using herbs. We'd attempt this against weaker enemies rather than stronger predators or bosses, where healing can be much more valuable.

You can complete these objectives during different battles. For the herb-free victories, simply avoid using herbs during those encounters. The achievement description doesn't specify that the five victories must occur consecutively.

Solid Knowledge, Experienced Fighter, and Ancestral Wisdom

Clans of the Forest features 75 combat moves to discover, and three achievements track how many you've unlocked across different categories.

Combat Move Unlock Requirements:
  • Solid Knowledge: Unlock every one of the 20 Universal Moves.
  • Experienced Fighter: Unlock 35 combat moves overall.
  • Ancestral Wisdom: Unlock 15 Ancestral moves.

These objectives track different milestones, so reaching 35 total moves doesn't automatically mean you've completed the Universal and Ancestral requirements.

Combat moves are tied to character progression, training, and the choices you make throughout your adventure. Continue expanding your available abilities while completing the Clan stories, and keep an eye on which move categories still need attention.

Unlocking new moves also provides more flexibility during combat, allowing you to adjust your available attacks and stances for different opponents.

Clan, Boss, and Defender Mode Achievements

How to Unlock All Four Clan Savior Achievements

Completing all four Clan Sagas is required for 100% achievement completion. Each Clan has a separate story achievement, so completing one campaign won't unlock the achievements for the other three.

Clan Saga Achievements:
  • ThunderClan Savior: Complete the ThunderClan Saga — 70G.
  • ShadowClan Savior: Complete the ShadowClan Saga — 85G.
  • WindClan Savior: Complete the WindClan Saga — 85G.
  • RiverClan Savior: Complete the RiverClan Saga — 85G.

The four achievements provide a combined 325 Gamerscore, making Clan completion one of the largest parts of the overall achievement list.

We'd use the first Saga to focus on exploration and smaller achievements, then concentrate more heavily on story progression during the remaining campaigns.

Becoming a warrior and eventually reaching Clan leader also unlocks Warrior Cat and Follow the Leader, so those rank-based achievements fit naturally alongside your story progression.

King of the Forest – Defeat 14 Bosses

King of the Forest is worth 85 Gamerscore and requires defeating 14 bosses for the first time.

The requirement focuses on first-time victories, so repeatedly defeating a boss you've already beaten shouldn't be treated as a way to increase the count.

Keep track of major boss encounters while completing the Clan Sagas, particularly when moving into a new storyline. Defeating unfamiliar bosses also gives you an opportunity to work on improving your combat setup as stronger enemies become available.

We'd leave any remaining boss cleanup until you've progressed through the stories and expanded your available combat moves. That way, you'll have more options for dealing with tougher encounters.

One-Cat Army – Win 20 Defender Mode Battles

One-Cat Army is the achievement tied specifically to Defender Mode. It requires at least 20 battle victories, so normal Prophecy Mode fights won't substitute for the required Defender matches.

Defender Mode challenges you to survive against powerful enemies in a combat-focused format. We'd recommend spending some time unlocking moves and improving your cat before attempting longer runs.

Since the achievement requires victories, prioritize a reliable mix of damaging attacks, defensive stances, and moves that help you survive extended encounters.

The achievement description doesn't explicitly require 20 consecutive victories, although completing more fights in one successful run may be convenient once you've become comfortable with the mode.

Can You Get All Achievements in One Clan?

No. Four achievements are tied to completing the individual Clan Sagas, meaning you'll need to experience ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and RiverClan to earn the complete set.

However, you can concentrate your exploration-heavy objectives on one cat. Both Agile Cat and Sunbathing Pro specifically require using the same character for their respective discoveries, making one dedicated exploration run a sensible approach.

It's also worth saving regularly after longer exploration sessions or completing major objectives. Our Warrior Cats Clans of the Forest How to Save guide covers saving through outposts and safely exiting to the main menu.

For the most efficient 100% run, complete your single-cat exploration objectives early, collect materials and combat achievements alongside quests, and finish the remaining Clan Sagas before tackling any leftover Defender battles or move unlocks. This keeps most of your achievement progress tied to activities you're already completing instead of leaving everything for cleanup after the story.
