If you’ve ever wanted to decide the fate of a morally questionable soldier while a ranger watches silently, Avowed has you covered. During the Ancient Soil quest, you get to choose whether to execute Lieutenant Bodeg or send him back to Lodwyn for further interrogation. Let's break down your options.

What Happens If You Execute Bodeg?

  • Tezallo does the honors – You don’t even have to get your hands dirty.

  • No more interrogation – Bodeg takes whatever information he has straight to the afterlife.

  • Your companions might judge you – Or maybe they won’t. Either way, you won’t get any extra dialogue from Bodeg.

What Happens If You Spare Bodeg?

  • You get to interrogate him more – If you enjoy squeezing people for information, this is the better route.

  • Your companions approve – They think it's a wiser choice, since letting him live means he gets to stew in his failure.

  • He gets sent back to Lodwyn – Hopefully for something worse than just sitting in a corner thinking about what he’s done.

So, Which Choice Is Better?

  • If you’re feeling merciful (or nosy) → Send him back for questioning.

  • If you’re in a “no loose ends” kind of mood → Let Tezallo handle it.

Either way, Lieutenant Bodeg’s day isn’t getting any better.
