County Archives Guide – Two Point Museum

The County Archives is a Pop-Up Challenge where you manage a pre-built museum and must stop thieves while increasing donations. It sounds simple, but without a solid security plan, exhibits will vanish, and guests won’t donate enough to win.

How to Prevent Thefts

Standard security methods won’t cut it. You’ll need to focus on guards and placement rather than expensive camera systems.

  • Hire 10–12 Security Guards by the end of the challenge.

  • Use Security Chairs instead of cameras since they provide better coverage.

  • Place Security Chairs in front of bathrooms to stop Boggymen from sneaking in through plumbing.

  • Position guards near high-value exhibits to intercept thieves before they escape.

  • Manually move guards onto thieves if no one is close by. If needed, hire a new one on the spot.

How to Spot Thieves Quickly

  • Disguised thieves reveal themselves with a whirlwind animation.

  • Golden Molers dig tunnels and pop out of the ground when they attack.

  • Boggymen use the bathrooms to sneak in—watch for more people leaving than entering.

  • A blue “Stolen Exhibit” icon appears instantly when something is taken. Catch the thief fast to recover the item.

How to Get a Gold Rating

Your final rank depends on the total amount of donations collected within the 181-day challenge.

  • Only donations count—ticket sales and gift shop profits won’t help.

  • Security Guards must collect donations before they are added to your total. More guards mean faster collection.

Best Museum Layout for Maximum Donations

The default museum layout is inefficient and slows down donation flow. Rearranging exhibits and pathways will make a big difference.

  • Move valuable exhibits closer to the entrance so guests don’t miss them.

  • Store incomplete dinosaur skeletons to free up space.

  • Group Prehistory Exhibits near the entrance to increase buzz and donations.

  • Create a shortcut to the Botany Wing by removing barriers and adding an archway.

  • Place speakers near exhibits to generate extra buzz and make donations more likely.

  • Remove the farthest bathroom to limit unnecessary walk time and stop Boggymen from sneaking in.

Final Blurb

To win gold, focus on tight security, efficient exhibit placement, and fast donation collection. If thieves can’t escape and guests keep donating, you’ll reach the $22,500 goal before time runs out.
