Trying to explore the spooky Netherworld but getting blocked by weird ghost doors? You need a Spirit Key—and no, the game doesn’t exactly hand you one with a smile. Here’s a quick and easy guide to getting and using this key without losing your mind.

How To Unlock the Spirit Key

  1. Get to Wailon Lodge

    • You unlock Wailon Lodge after some progress—it’s your spooky Paranormal Museum and Hotel.

    • Once there, you’ll see blocked paths in the Netherworld. These need the Spirit Key.

  2. Level Up Memento Mile to 2 Stars

    • The Spirit Key won’t unlock until your first museum, Memento Mile, has 2 stars.

    • Go back there, finish tasks, and get that second star.

    • This also bumps you up to Curator Class II—which you need to craft the key.

How To Craft a Spirit Key

  • Build a Workshop

    • Cost: $15,500

    • Needs to be at least 4x4 in size.

    • You also need a Janitor with Workshop skill.

  • Create the Spirit Key Project

    • Click on the Workstation in your Workshop.

    • Go to Create Project > Expedition Cargo Items > Spirit Key.

    • Cost: $10,000, takes 60 days to craft.

How To Use a Spirit Key

  1. Pick a Netherworld Expedition that needs a Spirit Key to unlock the path.

  2. When preparing for the expedition, add the Spirit Key as your Cargo Item.

    • You can only take one Cargo Item, so no backups.

    • After use, the Spirit Key disappears—you’ll need to craft a new one next time.

Warning:
Your staff might come back injured, sick, or just... not at all. Check the risks before sending them out, and bring staff with skills to handle bad events.

Final Blurb

Spirit Keys unlock spooky new paths, but they’re not reusable, and the process takes time and money. Get your 2 stars, build a Workshop, and send brave souls into the Netherworld. Just don’t get too attached—they might not all come back.
