How Does Controller Feel Playing Two Point Museum? Review

Image Credit: Two Point Studios, Two Point Museum

If you’re wondering how Two Point Museum plays with a controller, the good news is—it’s surprisingly smooth. While management sims often feel more natural with a mouse and keyboard, this game has been designed with controller players in mind, and it shows.

How Well Does It Work?

  • Menus and navigation feel intuitive – Switching between menus, selecting exhibits, and managing staff all work well with a controller.

  • Camera control is smooth – Moving around the museum and zooming in/out is quick and responsive.

  • Building and placing objects is easy – Snapping exhibits into place is well-optimized for analog sticks, though some precision work might take extra effort.

Console vs. PC with Controller

  • Xbox & PlayStation – Plays great on both consoles with well-mapped controls. No major issues reported.

  • Steam Deck – Works just as smoothly, with no need for extra adjustments.

  • PC with a controller – Supported, but we prefer a mouse for faster navigation in larger museums.

Final Blurb

We tried them all, and if you’re on Xbox, PlayStation, or Steam Deck, you won’t feel like you’re missing out by using a controller. On PC, it’s more of a preference—controllers work well, but a mouse might be better for faster menu management. Either way, the game runs great, and controller players won’t feel left out.
