Eating in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t as simple as stuffing your face and moving on. Food goes bad, and if you’re not careful, you’ll end up poisoning yourself. Here’s a quick guide on how to cure poison/get better.
How to Cure Food Poisoning
The fastest and most effective way to cure food poisoning is by using a Digestive Potion. This handy little elixir will flush out the toxins and get Henry back on his feet.
If you don’t have a potion, you have two (less ideal) options:
Sleep – Resting will help a little, but if your health is already low, you might not wake up.
Wait it out – If you have enough health, you can let it wear off naturally—but that’s like sitting through a slow-motion death sentence.
In short? Get a Digestive Potion. Fast.
How to Get a Digestive Potion
Buy It
Some innkeepers sell them, but stock is limited.
The best place to buy one is at an Apothecary, like the one in Kuttenberg (south of the city near Ruthard Castle).
Expect to pay 25-35 Groschen, depending on your haggling skills.
Stronger versions are available that also boost stats.
Craft It
If you don’t want to spend money, you can brew a Digestive Potion yourself.
You get the recipe early in the game when you’re introduced to Alchemy.
If you missed it, you can buy the recipe from an Apothecary for about 200 Groschen.
How to Craft a Digestive Potion
If you prefer DIY medicine, here’s how to make your own Digestive Potion.
Ingredients:
1x Nettle
2x Thistle
1x Charcoal
Brewing Steps:
Add the Thistle to the cauldron and boil for two turns of the hourglass.
Grind the Nettle and add it to the cauldron.
Boil for one more turn.
Grind the Charcoal, add it to the cauldron, then pour.
Drink the potion, and Henry will be back to normal in no time.
Final Blurb
Don’t eat questionable food. That rotten meat isn’t worth the risk.
Keep a few Digestive Potions on hand. Food poisoning can hit when you least expect it.
Cooking food helps it last longer. If you have raw meat, cook it before eating.
Now that you know how to fix Henry’s terrible food choices, you’re one step closer to surviving medieval Bohemia without vomiting your way to an early grave.
