Explained: What Do Collectables Do in Marvel Rivals?

In Marvel Rivals, there's an item category called "Collectibles." At first glance, you might think these are some super important items, like Apex Legends' Heirloom Shards, which help craft rare skins or unlock special features. Maybe you thought Collectibles would let you craft cool gear or give your character a power boost. Well, about that...

Turns out these items don’t actually do anything useful at all.

You can spend 200 Chrono Tokens (which you likely earned after grinding for hours) to get these Collectibles, but after you’ve got them, well, they just sit there. They’re basically glorified decorations that can’t be used for crafting, trading, or improving your abilities. So, if you were hoping for some secret function to make your gameplay more exciting, sorry to disappoint you.

Now, don't get too upset. These items look nice in your inventory, if that's your thing. They’re shiny, colorful, and will probably make you feel a little fancy when you see them. But when it comes to actual gameplay? They’re about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

So, if you see a Collectible in your future, just know that it’s there to help fill out the "stuff you can buy with tokens" checklist—and maybe make your inventory screen look a bit more crowded. No special abilities, no crafting help, just a lot of sparkles and nothing else. Enjoy!
