Fish Breeding Guide for Two Point Museum

Here’s a simple guide to fish breeding in Two Point Museum: Fish Farm Exhibition—for folks who just want to hatch some fish, make some cash, and not get swallowed by shark drama.

Two Point Museum: Fish Breeding Made Easy

You’re dropped into a mostly empty museum and told to breed fish—lots of them—and sell them for profit. It’s like running an aquarium, but the fish pay rent.

Your Goal: Sell Fish. Lots of Fish.

Only fish bred in your Egg Cups count toward your score. You need:

  • $50,000 for Bronze

  • $75,000 for Silver

  • $100,000 for Gold

Fish sell automatically on the 1st of each month, but the game ends December 28, so you’ll need to manually sell December’s fish before the game ends.

Getting Started

  • Hire Marine Experts, Janitors, and Assistants.

  • One or two Security Guards help collect donations faster (they're not just for show).

  • Build a small Training Room to give Experts useful skills like Pilot Wings (helps with fish expeditions).

  • Your starting tank only has one Clownfish pair. Send an Expert out to find Flying Fish and Floating Fish early on.

  • Try to have two breeding pairs in each tank for faster results. If you get more fish, build another tank—don’t stuff everyone into one.

Pro Tip: Side Objectives = Free Fish

Completing side tasks gives you bigger fish, like Goldfish, without needing risky expeditions. These are great for selling or flexing.

Best Breeding Strategy

  • Small fish breed faster. Quantity over quality works here.

  • Build big tanks and mix easy breeders like Clownfish, Flying Fish, and Floating Fish.

  • Add Goldfish when you unlock them—they take longer but sell well.

  • When you get Seahorses and Water Dragons, they’re solid mid-tier fish to breed.

By Fall, you should have 3 tanks breeding nonstop and maybe a 4th tank for big fish (see below).

Should You Breed Sharks and Turtles?

  • You’ll likely get Bull Sharks, Hermit Turtles, or Lionhead Fish as rewards.

  • Build 1 big tank for them. That’s it.

  • These fish rarely breed, but if they do—cha-ching! Big cash.

  • Mostly, use this tank to attract visitors and donations to fund your main tanks.

Final Blurb

Breed fast fish, sell them even faster. Use the big fish tank as a bonus, not your main plan. If all else fails, just keep hatching Clownfish like your museum depends on it—because it kind of does.
