For Victory! is a main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that takes place in the Trosky region. What starts as a lavish feast quickly turns into a battle against bandits as Henry and Capon prepare to march on Nebakov Fortress. This guide will walk you through how to make the most of the quest, from socializing with nobles to surviving an ambush in the woods.
Before you start, keep in mind: This is a point of no return for some side quests, so if you have unfinished business, take care of it first.
1. Meet Capon in the Evening
Head to Trosky Castle around 7 PM.
Find Hans Capon on the walkway overlooking the Smithy.
If you’re not in a hurry, you can delay the quest for a few days to wrap up other tasks.
2. Enjoy the Feast and Mingle with Nobles
Once you meet Capon, you’ll attend Otto von Bergow’s feast. This is a great chance to boost your reputation and pick up side tasks.
Talk to Otto von Bergow and Chamberlain Ulrich.
Use the Medium Speech check: “We have the same interests.”
Stand up for Capon when prompted.
This improves relations with Otto and Hans.
After that, socialize with the guests:
Bailiff Goathead – Challenges you to a game of dice.
Otto von Bergow – Talks about ending the war.
Knight Herrmann Littlehead – Sends you on a small prank quest to retrieve a ring from the Crone Tower.
Give the ring to Adelta, saying it’s from “A shy friend.”
Reward: The Strength of the Knight III (Strength skill boost).
Knights Olbram and Bor – Mention a mysterious artifact, “The Finger of God.”
Black Bartosh – Shares gossip about the nobles.
Hans Capon – Appreciates that you defended him earlier.
Widow Johanka – Has optional romance dialogue.
Wait to pursue this until you’ve finished the other feast-related objectives.
3. Get the Wine
Go to the kitchen and speak with Cook Manyeta.
Ask about Katherine, but she won’t know where she is.
Instead, she offers to get you wine if you unlock a spice chest for her.
Open the chest, and she hands over the wine.
4. Get the Armor
Visit the Smithy and speak to Blacksmith Osina.
He’s out of good armor, but you can persuade him:
Speech, Charisma, or Intimidation check (Medium difficulty) – He gives it to you for free.
If you fail, you’ll have to buy the set (around 270 Groschen if you haggle).
Armor Set for Capon:
Common Longsword
Saxon Bascinet
Smooth Cuirass
Noble’s Gauntlets
Saxon Plate Legs
5. End the Feast (Optional Romance with Johanka)
You can end the feast by:
Going to bed.
Romancing Widow Johanka.
Requires two skill checks:
Medium Scholarship check.
Another Scholarship check (easiest success).
When prompted, say “The Bailiff was right to punish us.”
If successful, Johanka invites you to spend the evening with her.
Either way, once the feast ends, the next phase of the quest begins.
6. Hand Over the Equipment to Capon
Find Capon and give him the armor and wine.
After handing over the gear, tell him “Aye, we can go.”
You’ll leave with Otto von Bergow’s men to begin the march.
7. Follow Capon – Battle in the Forest
After some cutscenes of the army marching, an ambush occurs.
Capon helps you up after you’re thrown from your horse.
Engage in combat with the bandits—most are already distracted by the soldiers.
Use this as an opportunity to practice your weapon skills.
Push forward until you reach Chamberlain Ulrich.
8. Rescue the Chamberlain
Ulrich is trapped under his horse, pinned down by archers on the rocks.
Use your bow to take out the archers while Capon helps Ulrich.
No matter what you do, Ulrich dies. There is no way to save him.
9. Escape with Capon
Move forward along the road until Capon stops and crouches.
Run past him and under a fallen tree—he’ll follow.
Fight two more bandits, then run down a hill to reach the road into Nebakov.
More archers block the way.
These archers are dangerous—they can kill you or Capon fast.
Rush them and engage in melee combat before they can do serious damage.
10. Duel Against Zizka
At the end of the road, Capon gets knocked out.
Henry is surrounded and introduced to Zizka, the bandit captain.
Zizka challenges you to a duel.
He’s skilled, but the fight won’t last long—you only need to land a few good hits to trigger the next cutscene.
One solid Master Strike or some quick attacks will be enough.
11. Captured – End of Quest
After the duel, Henry and Capon are captured by the bandits.
This marks the end of the quest and leads into the next main story mission: Divine Messenger.
All Steps Condensed:
Meet Capon at 7 PM to start the quest.
Attend Otto von Bergow’s feast and socialize for reputation boosts.
Retrieve wine and armor for Capon.
Either go to bed or romance Johanka to end the feast.
Hand over the equipment and march to battle.
Survive the ambush, fight bandits, and save Ulrich (or at least try to).
Defeat Zizka in a duel before being captured.
