How to Get Akatosh Armor in Oblivion Remastered
If you grabbed the Deluxe Edition of Oblivion Remastered and you're wondering where your shiny Akatosh armor is—bad news—you’ve got some work to do first. Bethesda didn’t just drop the gear in your inventory. Instead, you’ll need to complete a special questline called A Wound in Time.
Here’s how to get your hands on that fancy Paladin gear.

Start the A Wound in Time Quest
After escaping the Imperial Sewers, head toward Kvatch.
On the road outside the Kvatch refugee camp, look for a priest named Ilav Dralgoner.
Talk to him about "disappearances" to kick off the quest.
Complete A Wound in Time and Saving Time Itself
Go to Beldaburo Ruins west of Kvatch.
Explore until you hit a door blocked by magic.
Return to Ilav and mention "powerful magic"—he’ll bless you.
This finishes A Wound in Time and starts Saving Time Itself.
Head back to Beldaburo. Now you can pass through that magic door.
Defeat the Corelian Lich and grab the Elder Scroll.
Return to Ilav to finish the questline and get the title Paladin of the Hour.
How to Claim the Akatosh Gear
Bethesda likes to make you work for your rewards twice. After finishing both quests:
Talk to Ilav again and choose the "equipment" option.
You can pick individual weapons and armor pieces or grab them all (if your inventory can handle it).
If you're overloaded, no worries—you can always come back later for the rest.
What’s Included in the Akatosh Set?
Here’s what you’ll unlock:
Order Armor Set (Heavy and Light versions)
Order Horse Armor (Pick it up from any stable, like Chestnut Handy Stables near the Imperial City)
Weapons like:
Battle-Axe of Order
Longsword of Order
Bow of Order
And more (because why have one weapon when you can have nine?)
Final Blurb
If you thought paying extra for the Deluxe Edition meant instant loot drops, welcome to Cyrodiil—where even bonus gear makes you earn it. But once you’re rocking that Akatosh armor, you’ll look like you actually know what you’re doing… even if you don’t.
