Star Wars Zero Company released on August 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Rather than controlling a single Jedi or soldier, the focus is on building a squad, positioning characters during tactical battles, managing their abilities, and deciding how to approach each mission.

What is Star Wars Zero Company?

In Star Wars Zero Company, you play as Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads the group known as Zero Company. The squad is made up of operatives from different backgrounds across the Star Wars galaxy, ranging from traditional soldiers and scoundrels to droids and Force users.

The story takes place near the end of the Clone Wars and follows Zero Company as the group is recruited to confront an emerging threat. It tells an original story within the Star Wars universe while using the Clone Wars as the backdrop for its characters, locations, factions, and conflicts.

How Star Wars Zero Company Plays

Combat is built around turn-based tactical encounters where positioning, abilities, squad composition, and the order of your actions can determine how a battle plays out. Players choose which operatives to deploy and can use the different strengths of each squad member to create combinations and tactical advantages.

Between missions, Zero Company also has a base of operations where players can prepare for upcoming assignments and develop their squad. Operatives improve over time, while fighting alongside one another can strengthen their relationships and unlock additional combat synergies.

Squad and Character Customization

Hawks can be customized with different appearances and combat specializations, while the rest of Zero Company can include both established characters and custom-created operatives. Squad members can also be tailored through their appearance, abilities, and loadouts, giving players room to build a team around their preferred approach to combat.

Choices made both during missions and outside of combat can change how a playthrough develops, making squad management and decision-making a major part of the game alongside its tactical battles.
