So, you’ve “acquired” a horse and a saddle that looks like it’s been through a medieval horror show. Blood, dirt, and whatever else you’d rather not think about are all over your gear. Naturally, you’d like your noble steed to look like it’s ready for a parade, not a battlefield. Here’s how to clean your horse and its equipment.

Cleaning the Saddle and Horse/Gear

  1. Use Laundry Spots: Around towns, you’ll find laundry spots near rivers, ponds, or springs. Bring soap along (yes, soap—it’s not just for Henry’s hygiene) and clean your gear manually.

    • Make sure the dirty saddle and other items are in your inventory, not the horse’s inventory, or this won’t work.

  2. Visit a Horse Trader: Most horse traders offer cleaning services. Just trot over, strike up a conversation, and your horse will look pristine in no time.

  3. Wait Out Theft Markers: If you, uh, “found” the saddle and it’s marked as stolen, it might be wise to lay low for a bit before heading to a horse trader. Nobody likes explaining bloodstains and theft at the same time.

Bonus Tips

  • Bloody Gear Affects Your Horse: A dirty or bloody saddle can prevent your horse from sprinting. If it’s been acting sluggish, don’t assume it’s tired—just clean the gear.

  • Starting Town Laundry Spot: In the first village, there’s a laundry spot west of the butcher, near a pond. This is a good place to test out your soap theory.

And there you have it! Your horse and its gear will be so clean that even the most finicky noble would approve. Just remember—soap isn’t optional in this medieval world.
