Loftia How to Upgrade Hammer to Level 2

Upgrading your Hammer in Loftia requires a little more preparation than ordinary crafting. Between completing a research bundle, upgrading your Project Station, and gathering materials from multiple areas, there are several things to organize before you can make Hammer Level 2. Here's how to complete the upgrade efficiently.

How to Upgrade Hammer to Level 2 in Loftia

To upgrade your Hammer to Level 2 in Loftia, complete the Heavy-Weight Titans research bundle at the Central Lake Research Station. You'll then need Project Station Lv.2, your original Hammer, 10 Rattan, 10 Copper Scraps, 2 Rubber, and 7 Energy to craft Hammer Lv.2.

Follow these steps:

  1. Progress through Welcome to the Gardens to unlock Project Station Lv.2.
  2. Complete the Heavy-Weight Titans research bundle at the Central Lake Research Station.
  3. Gather 10 Rattan and 10 Copper Scraps from the Hanging Gardens.
  4. Collect 10 Tires and refine them into 2 Rubber.
  5. Bring your original Hammer and all required materials to Project Station Lv.2.
  6. Spend 7 Energy to craft Hammer Lv.2.

The research bundle unlocks the recipe, while Project Station Lv.2 provides the equipment needed to craft it. Both are required.

How to Unlock Hammer Level 2 With Heavy-Weight Titans

The Hammer Lv.2 blueprint is a reward for completing the Heavy-Weight Titans research bundle at the Central Lake Research Station.

You'll need to submit four different fish:

Required Fish Quantity
Seventyfour Seabream1
Nassau Grouper1
Giant Sea Bass1
Southern Bluefin Tuna1

Once you've completed the bundle, Hammer Lv.2 becomes available to craft at the appropriate Project Station.

Since finding all four fish is a separate progression goal, it's worth working on the research while gathering the materials you'll eventually need for crafting.

Hammer Level 2 Crafting Recipe in Loftia

Hammer Lv.2 requires the following materials at Project Station Lv.2:

Material Quantity
Hammer1
Rattan10
Copper Scraps10
Rubber2
Energy7

Your basic Hammer is consumed as an ingredient in the upgrade, so make sure you have it available.

If you haven't crafted one yet, the basic Hammer recipe at Project Station Lv.1 requires 5 Screws, 5 Plastic Discards, and 2 Energy.

Hammer Lv.2 is intended for harder impact work, including breaking rocks and shaking trees.

Where to Find Hammer Level 2 Materials in Loftia

Most of your gathering can be organized around two locations: the Hanging Gardens for Rattan and Copper Scraps, and Loftia City for Tires.

How to Get Rattan

Rattan is gathered from Rattan Tree Spots in the Hanging Gardens.

You need 10 pieces for Hammer Lv.2. Collecting these while searching for Copper Scraps is a convenient way to complete two parts of the recipe during the same visit.

How to Get Copper Scraps

Copper Scraps can be collected from several sources in the Hanging Gardens:

  • Mineral Nodes
  • Rusty Tools Spots
  • Crate Spots
  • Secret Lake - Cave Ore

Set aside 10 Copper Scraps for the upgrade. The recipe requires them directly, so there's no need to refine them into Copper Bars.

How to Make Rubber

Rubber is crafted from Tires at Refining Station Lv.1.

Each Rubber requires 5 Tires, 1 Energy, and 15 seconds of processing time. Since you need two Rubber, the total is 10 Tires and 2 Energy.

You can find Tires around Loftia City at:

  • Pile of Tires Salvaging Spots
  • Crate Spots
  • Pile of Cars

Once you've collected the Tires, refine both Rubber before heading to your Project Station for the final upgrade.

Best Way to Prepare Your Hammer Level 2 Upgrade

The most efficient approach is to collect materials in groups rather than making separate trips for every ingredient.

Organize Your Materials by Location

Use this checklist to plan where you'll need to go:

Location What You Need
Central Lake Research Station Complete the Heavy-Weight Titans fish bundle.
Hanging Gardens 10 Rattan and 10 Copper Scraps
Loftia City 10 Tires
Refining Station Lv.1 Craft 2 Rubber.
Project Station Lv.2 Craft Hammer Lv.2.

I'd recommend keeping the Rattan and Copper Scraps together once collected, particularly if you're also working on other crafting projects that use those resources.

Plan for the Full Energy Cost

The final Hammer upgrade costs 7 Energy, but preparing the materials may increase the total.

Starting Materials Total Energy Needed
Already have Hammer and 2 Rubber 7 Energy
Have Hammer but need to refine 10 Tires 9 Energy
Need to craft Hammer and refine Rubber 11 Energy

These totals cover the listed crafting and refining steps, not additional energy spent gathering materials.

You can split the work across multiple sessions, but keeping these totals in mind helps avoid reaching the final crafting stage without enough Energy.

Why Can't You Upgrade Your Hammer in Loftia?

If Hammer Lv.2 still isn't available, use the following checklist to identify what's missing:

Problem Solution
Recipe is locked Complete the Heavy-Weight Titans research bundle.
Station level is too low Unlock and use Project Station Lv.2.
Missing Rubber Refine 10 Tires into 2 Rubber at Refining Station Lv.1.
Missing basic Hammer Craft or obtain a basic Hammer for the recipe.
Not enough Energy Have 7 Energy available for the final craft.

Once the recipe is unlocked and your Project Station is upgraded, you only need to provide the correct materials and Energy to craft Hammer Lv.2.
